The food and service were fantastic! This place had mixed reviews so I was hesitant to stop in for dinner, maybe different opinions on Mexican style food. My recommendation is to go! Delicious New Mexico style food and friendly staff.

Not a ton of places offering vegan options in the area, but Salsa Verde didn't disappoint. While none of the items are labelled vegan, the staff was very knowledgeable of which dishes could be modified to accommodate my diet. I had the Calabacitas burrito with no cheese and vegetarian beans. 5/5 plus the salsa was very good.

i loved it!
the food was phenomenal🤩 we had the nachos and guacamole as a starter and then i had the burritos! both were more than just good!
all of the waiters and waitresses were so nice and made sure we had all we need. there was a little confusion (caused by us, since we ordered the wrong thing) and they offered us to bring us something new and were just so helpful and extraordinarily friendly.
thank you so much!😊

Waitress was amazing. Food delivery person not so much. Ordered the street tacos which was a 4 taco meal of street taco shells. Paid extra for rice. They brought me three tacos. I questioned it and the answer was that they were having issues in making the shells so I was given larger shells to compensate. The shells I received were the traditional 3.5-4ā€ shell. C’mon . You would have thought providing a 4th taco would make sense, but nope.

it took an hour from sitting down to receiving our meal. The street steak tacos were the best I have ever had with the small steak pieces. Each piece was tasty and not at all dried up and hard. We didn't eat anything else, so I cannot say anything about it. Just don't go there if you are pushed for time.

Great food, probably some of the best in bar harbor. Highly recommend checking it out if you are spending a week here.

10/10 - service, food and beverages - amazing! Stopped in during a visit to bar harbor this past weekend and were well taken care of by the staff who provided great food and beverage recommendations, also attentive with the service! Be sure to try the blue corn chips and if you like spice - try the hot salsa!

Excellent and authentic. We had an amazing lunch. The margarita and enchiladas perfection. Our server, amazing. You will do great in your new location.

Salsa Verde - brings much needed flavor to the Bar Harbor food scene. This small and cozy restaurant is first on my list when I’m ordering food in Bar Harbor. On cold evenings, after the summer season has ended, you will find this place still packed with locals enjoying drinks from the bar and hot fresh food. After a long day at work - I usually take my standard order to go: a pollo burrito with their homemade salsa. Hot and grilled with gooey cheddar cheese - it makes even the worst days better! Every single time people ask for food recommendations in downtown Bar Harbor - I recommend Salsa Verde! Check them out and give this locally owned and family run restaurant a chance to wow your taste buds!

Missing great Mexican food ? Huge portions ? Super flavorful food with that homemade vibe ? Do yourself a favor and try Salsa Verde. We are (happily) hooked !

Food was delicious - I had the carnita enchiladas. I did the "Christmas" sauces, personally preferred the red sauce (though both were good). The hot salsa was delicious and my only gripe is I wish I had more of it. The waitress/bartender was very kind and great about checking in despite having multiple jobs to juggle.

The food was good. But the prices were outlandish even for Bar Harbor. $15 for chips and guac? Sorry, no guac is _that_ good.

I wasn't expecting New Mexican food in Maine, but it was fire ? ? ?. I had the vegetarian enchiladas. The Chile sauce was on point and very yummy.
