We loved the West Street Cafe. It’s a great vibe for hanging out with friends or playing a game at the bar with your bestie. We were there for dessert and a beer. The flourless chocolate torte was exquisite and the blueberry pie a la mode kept us going back. We highly recommend this establishment.

We had mixed feelings about the food here. We had been here before in 2022 and remembered it as very good, this time not as much in my opinion. I had the beer battered haddock, and the breading was way too heavy. The potion size was huge. I ate the fish but not the breading. My husband had the lobster roll, cup of chowder and blueberry pie and he enjoyed it.

Would recommend!! This is the place for the best blueberry pie! Make sure to get the vanilla ice cream too! My wife and I heard about this from our trolley tour guide and he was right!

What a delightful place. The atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming--even on a cold wet day. We've been there twice--once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch we had lobster rolls and, truthfully, they weren't the best we've had--no mayo and no seasoning. I guess that's the way they're served here. The amount of lobster was bountiful and a little salt helped. The roll was very nice and fries delicious. For dinner, I had lazy lobster--didn't want to deal with all the work. The amount was about the equivalent of a tail, a knuckle and a claw in a very nice butter sauce. The Cole slaw was very good (I like simple sauce, not too heavy). At first I thought the focaccia was boring and not worth the calories, but dipped in the lobster butter remaining in the bowl was wonderful. My husband had fried clam strips and bellies and though tthem very good. He has memories of Howard Johnson clam strips as a child and thought these much better! We shared a bottle of wine that we thought very good and relatively inexpensive ($35ish). I would heartily recommend this place.

The wife and stopped here to try a Lobster Roll and Clam Chowder. Wow I have never really liked lobster or clam chowder before but if I can get it like that I am going to be a fan.

The lobster bisque was excellent. Everything else was mediocre. I had the stuffed haddock and the fish was overcooked. The stuffing was flavorful, but it was a disappointing dish. There was nothing special about the sides either. Another of member of my party had the pasta and it was decent. Much better than the stuffed haddock.

We enjoyed the West Street Cafe! The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was nice and the decor was pretty. We had a large group and the server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely eat here again if we return to Bar Harbor!
