Booked 2 rooms last minute and so glad I did! This is a waterfront older hotel. Our rooms were spacious, outfitted with refrifg. microwave and small keurig. Both rooms (king and double) were immaculate! The covered waterfront deck was a comfortable nice size and we enjoyed our breakfast there. The motel dining area has lots of table seating with a Waterview for the included breakfast. Coffee was hot and plentiful. I think coffee/tea is available all day. The hotel is an L shape. Our rooms were the last 2 rooms (222 and 223) at the end of the L closest to the road..so our Waterview was an angle view. I think the owners need to plant a evergreen by the road to give some road screening for 223 room. Rooms 101 to 109 overlook the marina. Rooms on 2nd level look over marina. Rooms 112 to 119 and floors sbove overlook the harbor rather then marina.the rooms. And ours 222 and 223 was an angle harbor view. If handicap and need elevator it is in the lighthouse (see photo) Motel location is about a 7 minute ride to Boothbay Main St.. About a 3 min ride to local grocery store and circle k convenience store. I think it is a great location on the harbor away from the crowds yet very close. I like no restaurant as place is quiet in the evening. If you want to walk the footbridge into town the Boothbay Inn is a better location but I much prefer Brown's Wharf. I will be back to stay again and Kudos to the owners for keeping this waterfront motel comfortable, clean and in great condition.Rooms: Large rooms, comfortable seating. Easy rolling slider to Waterview covered deck. Deck furniture clean and comfortable.Nearby activities: Easy 7 min ride to fishermans wharf in Boothbay harborSafety: Felt safe. Parking well lit.Walkability: A bit of a walk to footbridgeFood & drinks: Breakfast plentiful with indoor dining tables looking over water. Rooms have micro, refrig, and small kuerig with Dunkin Donuts pods.Noteworthy details: Rooms spotless. Towels bedding clean. Comfortable. Covered deck great if raining. Beautiful harbor views. Waterfront motel.

The place is amazing, such a nice view, but something weird was that a girl from staff (a housekeeper I assume) called Melani with glasses and foreign kept saying to my wife that 25% tip was mandatory, I don’t think it’s true because I asked some other guests. We spent almost three days there and those three days she said the same thing, it was uncomfortable.

Wanted to get away for our anniversary for a couple of day and chose Browns Wharf.Place is older but very clean and our room had a great view of the harbor. We would leave in the morning for day trips and come back to find our room cleaned. We happened to be in Maine while a tropical storm made its way off the coast. Only lost power for a half hour to an hour - otherwise uneventful. The hotel offers a continental breakfast which sufficed my wife and I. We are walkers and didn’t mind the 15 minute walk into town. In bad weather you may have to take a car and parking is at a premium in town.FYI - The hotel no longer has a restaurant - so plan on meals elsewhere.Gave the place four stars because I felt I was staying at a place my parents or grandparents would have stayed and it didn’t have a restaurant.

Browns is the very best place to stay in BBH. Lovely, spacious rooms. Spotlessly clean. 5⭐️ staff that is friendly and always accommodating. Breakfast has a variety of options. The blueberry muffins and cranberry nut muffins are the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. We always make our reservation for the following year before we leave. We don’t want to miss out on our week at Browns. Special thanks to Michelle, Vicky and everyone who makes Browns our favorite.

A big shout out to Tim at Browns. We were visiting BBH on a boat right in downtown and decided to take a long walk over Carousel Marine Store to find a replacement boat part. They didn't have it so we started walking back and got caught in a torrential downpour. We stood under the canopy at Browns for about an hour but it wasn't letting up. Tried Uber but didn't have a picture of my license for the app. Tried a cab but it was too far away on another call. We checked at the desk at Browns and Tim kindly offered us a ride back over. Salvation! Thanks for the great service, Tim!

A very nice place to stay. Rooms were clean and host were extremely helpful with suggestions on food & play in the area. Would most certainly stay here again.

Loved it. The view outside the window was terrific. They had TWO comfortable chairs, very unusual. Breakfast was good, even though the restaurant was closed. Very easy to get to the livelier side of town.

After a week of great hotels on vacation, this one missed the mark. Front desk staff were polite but not welcoming. Room was fine, balcony not even semi-private & bathroom was appallingly small, tinier than on a cruise ship, and ugly. Half a mile walk to the pedestrian bridge into town (I must have missed that on their website). Altogether not worth the price.

Waterfront 3 story motel on the quiet side of Boothbay Harbor that fronts a marina. Every room has a water view. The rooms or comfortable, updated and exceptionally clean. If you have a choice, an upper floor is recommended for a better view. The balconies are shared and a bit close so you'll likely get to know your neighbors. It's a great place to relax and watch the activity in the harbor. The free continental breakfast is more than edequate with juice, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit. This is a family owned business that takes great pride in the property and the customer service. We'll be returning.

PRISTINE!!! Brown’s Wharf never disappoints. The rooms, hallways, railings, are all spic and span. The morning after a rainstorm the staff was wiping down all of the wooden railings. The balconies all face the water and are as clean as the rooms. Plenty of seating and space to enjoy the scenery outside- under cover enough that we spent a rainy afternoon outside on our deck and we’re very comfortable. Breakfast daily was plenty, and included: bagels, hard boiled eggs, fresh muffins, yogurt, juice and coffee. Staff is extremely pleasant and the flowers and attention to detail is amazing. This is a great spot and a nice walk into town. We’ve been coming here for years and will continue. !!!

My husband & I both stayed at Brown's Wharf Inn and we were very impressed with how immaculately clean the whole room and the hotel was! The room was big and we both loved the huge deck outside our room overlooking the harbor. For years we stayed on the other side of the harbor, but this place beats the other hotel! They offered a continental breakfast with cereal we can eat, yogurt, fruit cups, hard boiled eggs. We were filled up! It was well worth the drive to the other side of the harbor.

We had a two night visit and we were so happy with our room. Even though the Inn is older, it has been well maintained and was very clean. The staff were all super friendly. We had to depart early and left our phone charger in the room and they called me right away to come back to get it. Our view was of the harbor and it was nice to sit and watch all the boats. Tge bed was very comfortable. The location is close enough to downtown but far enough to enjoy the quiet. There is amoke parking as well. I would recommend staying here if you have a chance. Unfortunately in today's job market, they cannot get enough staff to run their restaurant. Beautiful deck.

We had a great stay here. Room was very good with nice view of the water. Room was clean. There was a small breakfast every day which we enjoyed. Outside of the hotel there is a deck where you can sit to watch the boats in the harbor. There was no restaurant on site at the time we were there. Definitely recommend staying here
