My family was up visiting my cousin and her husband and she planned a very memorable day. You start off taking a boat tour toward the island. Wish I had taken more pictures. At the island you enjoy 2 lobsters, clams, chowder, boiled egg, an onion, baked potato, corn on the cob, melted butter, ice tea, coffee, and the Best blueberry cake I have ever had. My husband and I were lucky enough to reserve a spot for a Wednesday afternoon clambake and had an awesome experience. The boat felt a little crowded but once you arrive at the island, there are picnic tables spread throughout the grounds. They start by serving you the chowder then they ring the bells and everyone lines up to receive their lobster dinner, which they steam right there on the water. An absolute highlight during our trip to Maine. Cannot recommend enough! To add something different to the many positive reviews below, I’ll give a nod to the drinks selection on the island. This included a good Côtes de Provence rosé available by the glass, a rare find in these parts! Cash only on the island and boat. Don’t pay at the cash machine on the wharf, there is a cheaper one just up the hill at the bank.
