Great affordable, tasty food in a locally owned establishment! Thoroughly enjoyed the Shepherd's pie served with a smile by friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Soooo good. My husband and I ordered a whole bunch of food, wings, mozz sticks, a beer pretzel, then a bbq melt and shepherds pie. SO good. Definitely come here, we enjoyed every single thing and ate the leftovers on our hours-long drive back home

Good location. We were traveling with a small dog and they are pet friendly. Food was tasty and the service was good. Went for lunch.

Stopped in for dinner on a business trip. Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the food as well. Would visit again on future trips.

My wife and I ate here while visiting Bangor. The food was great, and the beer was also great. The service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. It is pub food, but worth the trip. I really enjoyed the setting in the pub. We will definitely be returning.

Not sure why this only has 4 stars. Solid pub food, solid beer, friendly staff. This is an old-school Irish pub with a ton of personality. Wish I had something like this in my home town!

Staying at the Fireside Inn and was great full this place was here. The staff is awesome. The portions are smallish and prices are about average. The Rueben was great. Fish and chips was ok. Great beer selection.

Didn't know what to expect after coming here, pubs aren't usually my thing. But I saw they use local ingredients and make their own beer which are big in my book. I definitely wasn't disappointed, might be the best pub food I've ever had! You need to try the reserve or wild reserve sauce for their wings. Also the Shepards pie is amazing, and the roll is home made.

We came because of a suggestion, but the next day someone else said we might've been punked lol... This is more of a place you go to relax and hang out and also have food, not a place you go because of the food. The staff were very lively and they clearly know each other well enough to make inappropriate cracks at each other. The pub cheese was a cold cheese spread, not what we were really expecting. It was a mixture of cheese spread and shredded cheese, and I wasn't really feeling the flavor. The Dublin coddle wasn't what I was in the mood for either, too much creamy and not enough savory depth of flavor. I don't know what Irish sausage is like, but it's not slices of Italian sausage or seasoned ground meat, it was more like chunks of hot dog.

In town on business and a local co worker took us here for lunch. This place is awesome! Great little pub restaurant. Friendly staff and great service. I actually went back again on a Sunday because I wanted to try something different on the menu. First time I got the Fish and Chips though I subbed onion rings. The breading was not too thick and the fish was flaky and moist. The dipping sauce was awesome. The second time I got Smoked Rueben from the specials menu. This was fantastic good smoky flavor. The bread was greasy. I also got a beer the Refueler a nice hefe. I hope to head back one more time. Definitely recommend this great little gem in Bangor.
