Friendly staff but what a let down. 2/4 of meals were placed at table and at that moment, we were told that the kids meal was unavailable and would we like something else. So we swapped to a cheese quesadilla thinking it would be quick (restaurant was empty). The food wasn’t ready for over 20 more minutes, so our kid sat there without food until we said we were all set waiting anymore. Can’t imagine what happens when the place is busy.

placed an online order and walked in 20 minutes later. as I walked thru the door I got a text saying my order was canceled. Then I stood there for 20 minutes without being acknowledged at all.

We were excited to try this restaurant based on a colleague’s recommendation, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The fajitas lacked seasoning and arrived at the table without any sizzle. The enchiladas were also under-seasoned and missing sauce, and the tortilla soup was extremely unpleasant—the broth was clear and tasted like warm, salty water with no additional flavor. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

It was ok, kind of reminded me of a little nicer Chipotle. We had a large group, so maybe that was it - the food was just kind of average. Good salsa and the server was great. Had some tasty beers.

The location was nice and clean and enjoyable. The server was pretty clueless and the food was the slowest Mexican food I've ever eaten. Took about an hour to get our food when no one was there.

Food is excellent. Service Horrible. Don’t. Let me know when they are under better management. I would love to talk to the owner.

I was extremely disappointed with the service and management at this establishment. We were ignored at the bar for over 15 minutes before anyone bothered to acknowledge us. When we finally ordered a beer, a margarita, and nachos, it took another 5–10 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and the nachos took even longer. To make it worse, they were wrong—smothered in sour cream after we had specifically asked for it on the side.

When I finally flagged someone down for another drink, the manager curtly told me the bar had “just closed.” If the staff had been even remotely attentive, my order would have been in long before then.

It wasn’t just us. I saw a couple walk out after being seated, and overheard another guest asking how much longer she’d have to wait—after already waiting an hour and a half. Meanwhile, the poor waitress/bartender was left scrambling as the only one serving, while management stood around flirting with the hostess instead of helping.

Between the slow service, lack of professionalism, careless mistakes, and completely absent management, this was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve ever had. I will never be returning!!!!

The food and prices were quite good, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to the service.

Despite reading several recent negative reviews our experience here was excellent. Nachos were delicious and service was very good.

I want to leave this place a good review but can’t. I live 2 hours away and when visiting family in the area we almost always go to Tacos y Tequila. When they first opened they were fantastic! We would go for the octopus appetizers alone! Things were great for a little while. The menu changed and so went the octopus appetizers. It happens. There was still other good food on the menu. Over our last few visits we have noticed the food declining, and while I was never blown away by the service there, it is currently at an all time low. I’m not sure if our server was stoned or just allergic to a personality but it was not a good experience. She was unfamiliar with menu items which wouldn’t be that big of a deal except she was also doubling as the bartender. Pro tip, just order something in a bottle if you want it to taste the way it’s supposed to. The new signature menu items we tried were uninspiring. The southwest egg roll was dry and bland but saved by the sauce accompanying it which tasted like it came from a can. The TYT signature dip was runny, watery queso with way overcooked strips of chicken and steak in it. Skip the dip. My wife’s salad was supposed to come with avocado dressing but was served with what tasted like cheap Italian dressing. The only thing we ordered that was good were the tacos. I had 1 chorizo and 1 shrimp and those were great. However, we will not be going back. We loved this place but it’s just not worth it anymore.

the food was good but be careful about the menu vs actual pricing. My daughter ordered the burrito pastor that was clearly written as $8.25 on the menu and on their online menu. We were charged $18.25, which I didn't notice until after I had paid in full and scrutinized the receipt. I brought this up to the server and the hostess, who refused to give me my money back. They said it was a mistake on the menu and it must be new. I tried to point out that their menus were clearly old and they had made the mistake. I left without making more of a scene, but felt very cheated by the staff.
Either fix your menu or teach the staff what false advertising is.

This place never disappoints. The ambience combined with their menu makes me s repetitive customer. I had to stop and tell the cook Juan how wonderful is the food. He was very nice and reassuring. Coming back very soon.

Street tacos, fajitas, and daily specials are really great. The warm chips and fresh salsa they bring to every table is better than most. The restaurant is open and nicely decorated and the service is exceptionally friendly.
Every trip to nearby Two Lights State Park now includes a before-or-after meal here. Highly recommended.
