Hug's is a Sugarloaf institution and one of our favorite restaurants anywhere.
This is a great restaurant. As good as those in the north end of Boston, but not as expensive. We have been going there for 30 years. Good food, neat atmosphere, nice people. A “must” place to eat at Sugarloaf.
A quaint, small, and other wise ordinary Italian restaurant that could do well in any corner of the world, yet this establishment finds itself in the small town of Carrabassett Valley, where almost every person who walks through the door is of familiar face. This dynamic creates an intangible atmosphere, one that will only be understood after walking through the door.

Hug's Italian Cuisine is a fun and intimate restaurant with great service. The atmosphere is cozy, with a unique hut-like setting surrounded by snow and woods. The staff is super friendly and hardworking, ensuring a great dining experience. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, including gorganzola ravioli, veal & chicken parm, butternut squash ravioli, chicken limone, and linguini in vodka sauce with chicken and broccoli. Each meal comes with a nice family-style salad and a side of pesto bread. The restaurant is known for its exceptional meatballs, which are made with care and attention to detail. While it's a small place, it's packed with flavor and has something for everyone. Reservations are recommended, especially on busy days.
