We stopped in Damariscotta to enjoy the Pumpkinfest and were so fortunate to stumble across this amazing restaurant. All of our food was absolutely delicious, as was the wine. On top of that, the prices were reasonable and the service was fantastic!!! We will definitely come back next time we are in town!

We just pulled off the highway on our way to Camden. We just randomly stumbled up this place.

We are glad we did!

Our server, Jonathan, was awesome.

My wife’s wine was excellent. I had a Sienna which was similar to an Old Fashioned- it was solid. It didn’t have the solid ice cube, but besides that, it was spot on.

All the food was just fantastic. I hope to visit again!

We had one of the best restaurant meals in many years at Bred in the Bone - absolutely delicious start to finish. The server(s) was equally 1st class - knowledgeable, attentive and personable without being in our face. 5 stars upfront.

I gave 3 stars for atmosphere as the several times we have been there we left smelling like fry cooks. The ventilation is so poor that there is no place to sit where you don’t become fully immersed in the smell of the cooking. We sat by an open window - no matter. 2nd complaint (though a minor one) is that the menu is written in a script difficult to read in the dim room lighting, made worse with the details of the entrees explained in a smaller light gray font. These need to be reformatted for legibility rather than “elegance”. Bring a flashlight if you don’t bring in your phone. Still, the food is sooooooo good!

Hands down, the best restaurant in Damariscotta. Mediterranean at its finest. Incredible drinks, appetizers, main courses and dessert.
The staff was attentive, friendly, and fun to chat with.
All around a wonderful experience!!

First, I think perhaps they were understaffed so everyone was waiting for long periods for their food. I got the special which, candidly, was not good. My dinner partner ordered off the menu and her plate was fine. I probably will not go back.

The food was amazing! We had the Creekstone Steak and Monkfish and were not disappointed, both were done to perfection! The wine 🍷 was perfect (house favorite was our’s as well) We did not have time for dessert (concert at the Boothbay Harbor Opera House) but we will on our next visit 😊 Definitely one of our new favorites in the Midcoast area!

Best meal out I have had in a very long time. Highly recommend, worth every dollar. You can tell how much care goes into the food.

The only reason it didn't get five stars as an overall score was because of how expensive it was

Enjoyed an amazing dinner at Bred In The Bone this weekend. We had the burrata appetizer, sirloin steak special and the most delicious bolognese ever. Everything they make is absolutely perfect!

This little gem is one of our favorite restaurants ANYWHERE. The food is absolutely sublime, the BEST farm to table menu which changes regularly to mate with what the local farms are offering. Inventive and delicious preparations that inspire many “Harry Met Sally” moments! The service is professional with a lean toward friendly. A balance between great service and welcoming vibe is definitely achieved from the moment you walk thru the door. Highly, highly recommend.

The best restaurant since living in Maine for 15 years. I’ve had the please to sample food across all regions of Maine. Bread In The Bone is by far the best of the best. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful. The staff instills a sense of genuine care for everyone. The Chef took the time to come to our table and present the specials along with the awesome staff. Every choice from Appetizer to the main dish was perfectly done and absolutely delicious! We plan to make it a weekly visit and when family visits, it will be our first stop.Thank you for the best experience.
