Whether I’m hanging out on the deck, stopping by for lunch, or watching a Boston sports game with friends, it’s always a great time. The food may be classic pub style, but it’s pub style on steroids—I’ve never had a bad meal here.

Lance, the owner, is often around and genuinely takes time to check in on guests, which is a great touch. But the real star of the staff is Jen, the head manager. She’s absolutely phenomenal to work with, especially when it comes to planning a function. Whether it’s a small family gathering or a larger group event, Jen’s professionalism, experience, and friendly approach make the whole process easy—and even fun.

“My husband and I came almost 2 hours away to try this place, and let me tell you; it did not disappoint!! I love the overall energy of the staff; everyone was very friendly and it felt like getting together with friends at home. The locals even sparked up conversation. My husband and I tried the spicy burger (true to the name), the special “stuffing balls” (YUM), and the Korean BBQ Burger. Fresh food, fast service, and quality experience. “This is a food court Johnny Rockets in South Portland. The shakes here are high quality and the food is a really well done, on top of the staff is very nice. Again it was a very good burger. This is more like an 80s burger joint family style. the food was excellent. However....I shake, 1 fry, 1 burger, 1 soda. $31.00 before tip.“

“I loved my salad and the service was good. The place is quite large (and not very busy) but there were long periods of time without service. Not our servers fault. Our booth was very nice and roomy but not visable to the rest of the restaurant. Our server really seemed to care. I was a little annoyed that the “free refillable sodas” that came with the kids’ meals was only for certain sodas. Not clear on the menu and not explained when we ordered. The kids would have been happy with cokes or sprites. $22 later on soda, when the bill came, we realized sofas weren’t so free. I don’t mind spending money but hate wasting it.“

“stopped in to get a meal in the afternoon it was nice and quiet, had the sweet and spicy chicken tenders as an appetizer which were great and as am entree I had the blackened salmon with veggies and mashed potatoes which was phenomenal the salmon was good but I actually enjoyed the veggies and mashed potatoes more, great service and atmosphere“

“I would just like to tell a very short story about how my friend Rex who is 65 years old he is a homeless man out of the Portland area. I took him in to Denny's in Portland to get breakfast on a cold Winter's day in January 2022. We ordered our food with our server who was very rude and after eating our cold yucky breakfast my friend Rex was refused a bathroom to use and then the manager came out and told us for NO REASON, to leave and never come back! It was the worst experience because all my friend Rex needed was a hot breakfast he doesn't bother anyone and never sticks up for himself or creates a fuss! So in looking for another breakfast place to eat we found IHOP in Portland and from the start of walking into that restaurant was so nice and clean the hostess was amazing and sat us immediately with a smile our server Bethany she was amazing so nice and kind she took our order and treated us like human beings she was not judgmental and she took our order the same way she takes everyone's orders with a smile and gracious heart! My friend Rex absolutely loves his fried eggs and his bacon so we now visit the Portland IHOP twice a week. I had told the servers about what had happened to us with our experience at Denny's and the server from IHOP told Rex and myself that we were allowed at IHOP anytime and that they would love to have us!! I can't even tell you how much this warms my heart knowing that I can take my friend who has fallen on some hard times into a restaurant to eat a very nice warm meal and have the best servers in the best wait staff around us! You are amazing IHOP and we love you so much! We will be there every Tuesday and Friday for bacon and eggs comforted by the graciousness and smiles of everyone in the restaurant at IHOP! Keep on being the most amazing restaurant in the world because from my point of view you absolutely are! We love you IHOP thank you so much for your hospitality!“

“My kindergarten or first grade class visited this BK about 1976 as a field trip and I remember the brown and orange uniforms and the flame broiler. It's the same building and it's looking good. The food was great today, service great and quick. So sad when the Scarborough BK closed but I still make it over to the South Portland store for a real treat!“

We waited around a minute for the table, but the food came pretty quickly and it was delicious. I had the chicken parmesan over fettucine alfredo and would rate it an 8.5/10. The service was great and the overall vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant was good too. Easy to find parking and fairly priced food.“
