Lovely lunch at the Lost Kitchen. Beautiful setting, friendly staff and owners. We got there early, the line was not too long. The menu of food was great. The shop was also very nice in the mill building. A memorable experience.
I ate at The Little Lost Kitchen three days ago. I decided to drive to Freedom during my visit to Maine and what an amazing experience it turned out to be!
I arrived at about 10am and the line for lunch was already 30 people deep!
It was a cool morning an the staff started a fire to warm us up and started serving drinks.

The best fried chicken I’ve ever had, every bite was so flavorful. I’m not usually a coleslaw guy but I ate it right up. Nobody check in on me so it seems more the speak up if you want something kind of place but employees are nearby and easy to ask for something. Totally recommend if you’re looking for an adventure!

The shoppe is well-stocked with treasures, and the restaurant's exterior, featuring an old mill restoration and peaceful water feature, is also worth noting. Visitors can enjoy the warm fires, marshmallows, and the delightfully curated treasures in the shop, including a nifty wine cellar. The outdoor seating area is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and customer-focused. The cafe and shop maintain high standards, with immaculate and well-curated offerings, including fantastic snacks. While a dinner reservation may be difficult to come by, the overall experience at The Lost Kitchen is a treat, no matter the season.
