Pizza Restaurants near Freedom

“I ate at The Little Lost Kitchen three days ago. I decided to drive to Freedom during my visit to Maine and what an amazing experience it turned out to be!
I arrived at about 10am and the line for lunch was already 30 people deep!
It was a cool morning an the staff started a fire to warm us up and started serving drinks.
Once they opened it was a very well oiled machine. Groups are taken across the bridge to the hostess reception on the other side in a very organized manner.
There was no crowding at any point so you can decide what you want to order without feeling pressured.
You order first and then you are taken to your table outdoors in a beautiful setting under umbrellas. It was a cool day but they had warmers outside.

I ordered the carrot and coriander soup that wash so tasty. I am not sure where they get their butter from...it was heavenly!
I then ordered the fried chicken and with it received the best biscuit I've ever had in my life!
The shortcake with Maine blueberries and peaches was also unforgettable.

My advice to first timers would be to show up at about 12:30pm. The line will be shorter but you might stand the chance of them running out on some items in the menu.

The store upstairs was also amazing and I ended up buying some cookbooks, soap, jam, etc. There must be a genius behind the marketing and retail operations that surpasses every expectation. They also carry Kate McCleod moisturizer stones, for instance. A very well curated collection.

The operation in the kitchen, front of house, etc is absolute genius. A very well orchestrated, incredible experience from arrival to departure.
You will feel seen, appreciated and special.

I love this place. The only issue is, prices have definitely gone up over the last few years.

(At least I'm pretty sure, because their food isnt cheap at all.)

It's still worth going to eat there, but I try to make my visits a little bit more infrequent given the price.“
