Lisa's Legit Burritos - GARDINER

I do not understand why Mexican restaurants don’t make the small effort to include vegan options but Lisa’s makes the effort. Fabulous burritos!

Taco Bell has more "legit" burritos then this place. It's mostly rice and beans with a bit of flavorless meat in the burrito. For the price it costs, I wouldn't recommend it.

Edit: The owner reached out to me to discuss this issue and find a resolution. I was impressed by her professionalism and concern for the quality of the food. Mistakes do happen, and we are open to giving this location another try in the future.

My husband and I went here for lunch today, and we were very disappointed. I got a veggie burrito. The burrito itself was ice cold as they did not even warm the tortilla. I asked for extra lettuce and cheese, and they put hardly any. They completely drenched the burrito is salsa and one side was all rice and the other side all toppings. I didn’t have time to request it be remade so I ended up throwing most of it away.

Great burritos. I got a chicken on a black bean tortilla and it was yummy.
They have a giant rack of different varieties of hot sauce that you can choose from, which I love! Everything tasted very fresh and overall I was very satisfied.

Today I ate the best burrito I’ve ever had. Seriously. It was outstanding. Fortunately for me they were open this Sunday as The Great Race was in town.
I had the veggie (no I’m not a vegetarian )burrito with added sweet potato. Medium sauce on the side.
It was off the charts ridiculously delicious.
Will be back for certain.

Rude as hell

A disappointment--we won't return. We chose this restaurant because it had good comments about vegan options, but those were misleading. The Legit Vegan Bowl consisted of plain rice (no seasoning), plain mashed sweet potato (no seasoning), lettuce, and avocado so unripe as to be inedible. When we told the staff member who prepared the order that the avocado was unripe, the response was merely "Sorry." No offer to refund the cost of the meal.

Slightly disappointed, I’ve gone three times down there on a Thursday and they were closed each time. Says they are open at 7. Not. Although the food is second to none, I am struggling to come back, and each time I read online I have hours to spare and I show up to them locking doors hours early. I just want this delicious food, but I’ve spent over $50 in gas just to be turned down at the door.
