At Cafe De Bangkok I experienced the rudest restaurant and waitress I have ever encountered. 4 of us went to lunch. 2 ordered their meal and I was next and I only know about 3 Thai dishes and due to food allergies always order the same dish and am not familiar with anything else on the menu and this is a new restaurant to me as I am from out of state so I asked a few questions about that particular dish. I did not find that dish on the menu and was trying to ask about the green curry dish and the red curry dish as I don't know the difference from the yellow mango curry dish I always get at Thai restaurants. She said she would put the mango in my meal and I expressed that I didn't need the mango in my dish I needed to know what the ingredients were and how I could have a similar dish to the yellow curry mango dish I always get. The waitress had a bad attitude towards me and walked away. She never came back and did not take my daughter's order either. 15 minutes later the kitchen staff brought out the 2 meals for the 2 people who we were with. But brought nothing for us not even the drinks we ordered. I thought the kitchen staff would ask us what we wanted but she just disappeared and there my 8 yr. old daughter and I sat with no drinks and no meal. We finally got up and left and the waitress was just standing over by the front of the restaurant doing absolutely nothing. Not taking care of other guests in fact the restaurant was nearly empty. She should be fired. I have no idea what her problem was. She should understand that there are customers who are not familiar with Thai food and their ingredients and will ask a lot of questions to try and understand what is in the dishes to make a good choice. Worst service and worst waitress and worst attitude that I have ever encountered.

Just stopped in while visiting Hallowell. Saw a sign for “crispy duck” on the sign outside. They serve it four different ways, I chose the peanut sauce and it was out of this world! Really enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere…beautiful spot on the river. I thought I saw on the webpage that they closed after lunch reopening at 3:30 for dinner but they are open straight through to 9:00 or 9:30 on Friday/Saturday. Best prices in town. Try it, you’ll like it

Amazingly friendly staff I'm just eating here for the third time and the staff greeted me by name they have a wonderful assortment of sushi and authentic Thai Dishes and no other restaurant in town has a better view of the beautiful Kennebec River

I had their pad Thai and it was better the next day. It was good fresh but the next day the juice marinated everything and it was good. They don't give a large amount of meat but it lasted me 2 meals

The food is to die for! The Cafe’ De Bangkok roll and Curtis duck is worth many trips to this place that has a gorgeous river view and fabulous service! Just amazing! Do not miss this place!

I've been there a couple times with my friends and it's always great! The attention to detail is so cute. I love how they make the straw wrappers look like flowers! The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are pretty big. My fiance always loves to steal my leftovers after. Looking forward to coming again!

I recently placed an online order for carry out. It was timed 2 hours ahead of pick up time. I got there on time but nobody knew the order was placed. After 15 minutes of trying to figure this out finally found it....OK we waited for it to be filled. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Could not believe how bad. Chicken wings were cold, dry hard as rocks. Pad Thai was just cold noodles with no sauce, flavor, eggs, peanut or anything else and also cold. Never got the drunken noodles...it was something else that I am not sure of...also cold. Fried rice??? Awful as there was nothing in it but a scoop of plain badly cooked rice...no veggies, a couple of tiny pieces of something protein like, no flavor, also cold. Disappointing is an understatement! total waste of my money and time.

Excellent Thai food and beautiful presentation. Staff super friendly and helpful. I had the mango fried rice with tofu and sushi that was veggies wrapped in cucumber no sauce. Totally worth going there.
All of the food is delicious! I really enjoyed chicken curry puffs and Thai ice tea, must try!
