After 10+ visits, Rosella never disappoints. Hands down the freshest fish of any omakase we've experienced. Matt, the executive chef, is a true flavor genius—every bite is thoughtful, balanced, and unforgettable. The entire team is so talented. A must-try.

First time here and we will absolutely return. We opted for the omakase style dining and put all of our trust in our chef Genevieve. She did not disappoint! She explained where everything came from and how to eat it which was very appreciated. Emily made our drinks to perfection. (Try the New Old Fashioned) Highly recommend the spicy cucumber salad, street corn, fatty bluefin tuna, and yellowtail. Compliments to chef Matt and his whole team. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

My Fiance and I had the most amazing experience at Rosella. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our special night was unforgettable. They were so knowledgeable about the food and you can see they take immense pride in their food and how it is prepared. I tried things I would usually be hesitant about, but I trusted them and they delivered. The smoked eel on the romen is ridiculously good. We both will always remember that night and the hospitality we were shown. Thank you Rosella, and I promise we will come back again next time we visit Maine.

Dined Sat night with a reservation in the early evening 1/3/2025... what a disappointment. Our server was a lovely person however there were tremendously long pauses in between her visiting our table. After she introduced herself as our server we didn't see her again ... we waited over 25 mins just to place our order, then never was checked on once the food arrived. Dirty dishes weren't cleared as we finished courses, nor did we get asked if there was anything else we'd like to try, order, or need. Very frustrating to try and enjoy a night out with good food when the service is so lagging. There was a young man in a plaid shirt walking and looking around (Mgr?) but he never visited our table or anyone else's table, so what is the point of walking around the restaurant if you're not going to pitch in? Soooo tired of badly trained service personnel & mgt—especially paying $$$$ for the drinks & sushi. There's no excuse for it.

Kate was amazing and the menu was exceptionally curated and an ode to the New England working waterfront. Easily some of the best sushi in New England.

Love love love Rosella. Our favorite restaurant by far in the Bunks. Not just that, the best sushi I've had in Portland or Boston. Five stars!

This was the second time we came here and it did not disappoint. We celebrated my wife's birthday and enjoyed a fantastic bottle of sake and ate some world class sushi. Thank-you!

This is not only our favorite sushi spot, but our favorite restaurant in New England. We live about an hour away and will travel here for special occasions. Every dish we've had has been amazing and unique. We finally sat at the bar where the sushi chef chatted with us during the meal, and this is a must do experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable and we were in awe at his ability to talk while making food. Favorites were the cucumber cashew salad, street corn, crab rolls, and any nigiri they put in front of you. The coconut sorbet ends the meal perfectly. It's not cheap, but you pay for what you get in ingredients and thoughtfulness.

Wonderful way to spend Christmas Eve in K-port., Maine. Chef Matt Kramer is truly a pro. He was most helpful with my partner who was focused on and highly disappointed to find there was no yellowtail tuna. He could not decide on any sashimi from the menu. Matt came up with some suggestions and explained the flavor profiles of other similar fish he could serve, He teased him with a gift of one of his sashimi creations and my partner was thrilled with the flavor. He then just kept ordering a number of other selections until he had no room for more. Matt also knows the chemistry of the flavors additions he uses on the sashimi and can offer alternatives for those with allergies. I recommend the Laksa Raman - very spicy and delicious for a cold winter night.

The only reason this place doesn’t have 5/5 stars is because some people aren’t familiar with the cost of high end sushi. Rosella is absolutely worth its prices. They do the basics in regards to sashimi and nigiri, and they do them well. I had about 6 or 7 different fish between nigiri and sashimi and the spanish mackerel nigiri was my favorite of the night. Special shout out to the tomago, that was done very well. I usually don’t go for rolls at a high end sushi restaurant or crab, but the crab roll is a must. There were several different layers of flavor and a lovely aftertaste. Again, it is absolutely “expensive” compared to an average meal in Maine, but if you know that going into it, you will have one of, if not the best, sushi dinner of your life.
For reference, we spent about $550 for 4 people (with alcohol)

Hands down best sushi and miso soup I’ve ever had. Any menu item we have had has been nothing short of spectacular. You’ll regret if you don’t make it here for a meal!
