Whenever I am in Maine, I make it a point to visit this establishment. We love the fish and chips. Service was good. Food was good. If you eat here or stop for a drink do not sit at the top of the steps. The smell of grease will stay on you all day. They prepare the food downstairs and must not have good ventilation. This time I finally had the French onion soup, which was excellent and is one of the menu items they're known for. The Guinness was great, as usual. The pub was festively decorated for the Christmas holiday.

Love this place! Very cozy bar/restaurant and a great find in the off season.
