Food was good. I was refused service at the bar and was told I had to order outside (in the rain)!

My girlfriend and I were on a trip to see the fall colors and made a trip to Kennebunkport. Googled seafood restaurants and found Mabel's and what a find it was. My lobster and shrimp was amazing and our waitress was very fun and attentive. Parking is an issue and that's my only complaint

Amazing fresh and delicious food! My group had the Duke, Dutchess, Lobster Risotto, and Lobster rolls and they had a lot of seafood and were so tasty! The blueberry pie w ice cream was beautifully done! Great fresh blueberries, perfect crust, and homemade vanilla ice cream.

My wife and I had lunch at Mabel's during our two day visit to Kennebunkport. We got the Lobster Roll and Fish'n Chips, both excellent. We were seated quickly and experienced great service from our waiter. Colony beach is just down the street.

Great little place in Kennybunkport MA tonight for early dinner. The food was fantastic and service was as well. Lobster roll was the best I've ever had!

This quaint restaurant offers up excellent food in a rustic atmosphere. The service was great, even as the restaurant began to fill up quickly once we were seated. We arrived around 4:00 on a Thursday and were seated immediately in the outside area as we requested. There was only a street view. But what Mabel's lacks in views, it has in character, friendly service and great food. Our friendly waiter welcomed our well-behaved Golden Retriever, sitting us along the side corner and even brought him fresh water to add to his travel bowl. The French Pear Martini was cold and delicious, not too sweet. My friend had a delicious Maine Lemonade drink with blueberry vodka. My husband had an IPA beer. He and I split the Milanese 2 lb lobster baked and stuffed with a half dozen huge shrimp, garlic, and cayenne that gave the shrimp a nice kick. The lobster was cooked perfectly. It was plenty for the two of us, along with a side salad and rice pilaf. The salad was served crisp and cold with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and bleu cheese crumbles. Unfortunately, the rice pilaf was really just yellow rice which lacked any flavor, however it was cooked perfectly. I guess you can't have it all! We finished off with a wonderful blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream. Our friend did the 1 lb lobster and also was delighted by its fresh taste. Her fries were big and crispy, per her request. Being from South Florida, it may be a while before we return, but we look forward to dining here again.

The food was great. The restaurant was clean and the hostess was accommodating. Our waitress was less than attentive. It was to the point that the tables around us were commenting on how much she was ignoring my table, for no apparent reason. Good food, odd experience. I won’t go back. Money could be spent much better elsewhere.

Kennebunkport wasn't on our route but we went out on our way for this place because of the high reviews. Not sure if I would again.Certainly live up to the latter part of their name, " Lobster Claw " any dish with lobster is strictly all claw. Got seated right away friendly staff. Ordered a clam chowder to start. For the main entrees ordered lobster mac and cheese and the hot buttered Lobster roll. Clam chowder was very good but it didn't really stand out for me in comparison to the other chowders I've had at other restaurants in Maine. Could have been a bit hotter and a few more clams. GF had the lobster roll and it too, didn't stand out in her mind. Definitely appreciated the toasted roll so it doesn't get soggy. Interestingly enough, the fries were probably the best part. Nice flavor and crispy and came with some really good tartar sauce to dip it in. I had the lobster mac and cheese. I didn't think that macaroni and cheese had enough savory bite to it. I wonder if they used medium vs. sharp cheddar. Should be sharp with lobster. Now, I know the claw supposed to be the best part of the lobster. But when it comes to these dishes the fact that they're not cut into pieces takes away from the experience. Sure, if you're eating a whole lobster it's great to dip in butter but not when you have something like a lobster roll or mac and cheese. You want pieces to be all coated with the savory goodness not huge chunks. I suggest Mabel's reach out to Al's Seafood and see how they do it.Although very good I don't know if I would go out of my way again to Mabels. Perhaps if I was staying in Kennebunkport- maybe. Plus it's kind of pricey for what you get. $75 for lunch! Wow...
