Just had dinner at Ocean, and it was an incredible experience. The food was top-notch—elegant and bursting with flavor. Every bite was perfect. The drinks were spot on, and the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and made sure everything went smoothly. On top of that, the view was absolutely stunning, making the whole evening even more memorable. We stayed at the Cape Arundel Inn for our honeymoon. We splurged for the 4 course, prix fixe menu with wine pairings. The amuse bouche croquet was a great little starter. We had oysters, and watermelon feta salad followed by scallops and crab with avocado. The main course was halibut and swordfish, with a peach panna cotta and cheesecake for dessert. An amazing ocean view, go before sunset. The dining area overlooks the rocky Maine coastline, complete with a view of the Bush compound.

Extraordinary location. The furniture (chairs and tables) are perfect for the space. The table was set beautifully. The decor is perfect. The grounds are perfect. The parking was easy. Our greeting was so warm. Service was spot on. The wine selection was perfect and not overwhelming. Each dish was sublime. The pace of the evening was perfect. A minor complaint was the pix fix menu. So much amazing food. However, if that is what it takes to create the perfect dining experience, I can live with that the prix fix menu. Ocean has achieved perfection at a reasonable price. Thank you for the perfect evening. We are still smiling!

Ocean at the Cape Arundel Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine is special. The views from everywhere in the dining room are both spectacular and breath-taking. What better way to take in the rocky coast of Southern Maine. The dining room is elegant but not in a stuffy way. It is peaceful and zen-like. The menu is elaborate and elegant and the food is fabulous! It is a fixed price menu depending upon 3,4 or 5 courses. It is not inexpensive, but is well worth the treat especially for special occasions. We have been with other couples, our family and their spouses and last night for our wedding anniversary. In each of these occasions, Ocean delivered on a wonderful dining and Maine experience. Arugula Salad with peaches and burrata is to die for. Filet Mignon, exquisite. Cripsy pork bellies, yum! Menu is varied and accommodates those who like meat, fish, pasta, veggies and delicious desserts. Wonderful drinks, wines and beers. The staff is attentive and responsive. Well worth the trip.

We dined on a Friday night, but it was still intimate and easy to feel private at one's table. We dined after sunset, but were seated at the windows overlooking the water. I imagine the ocean view would have been spectacular. Service was professional, and courses were delivered with space between. You can tell this is a tried and true type of clientele, those who've made their mark in life. No need to be flashy. You may not feel in place if you're trying for “trendy.” This restaurant delivers old school well. There is a place and call for this kind of dining ambience/experience. Limited parking is available at the front of the inn, but if not available, parking is available around the back. You get there via the small street on the east side of the inn.

All the food was delicious except the lobster. Somewhat disappointed in getting Lobster with no butter. The sauce was good and side was good but overall, disappointing. On the other hand, the Lobster Bisque was amazing.

Ocean exemplifies dining elegance. The linen tablecloths and silver create a lovely atmosphere and the food certainly lives up to that standard. Even though the menu is prix fixe diners have the option of choosing how many courses, and the specific menu items offer a broad range of choices, all perfectly prepared. To enjoy the magnificent view of the sea, go early while it is still daylight.

Amazing dinner at Ocean! We enjoyed cocktails in the sitting area prior to dinner. My husband and I both got the 3 course meal, which was fabulous. I got the lobster and my husband got the Veal. Just delightful! Despite the rainy weather, the views of the ocean were still unbelievable! Would highly recommend.

This was a very uninviting environment. The entire outside of the restaurant had virtually no lighting which made finding the restaurant and a parking spot very difficult. The food was extremely mediocre, all the dishes had great potential but unfortunately all missed the mark in the flavor department. The best part of the meal was the butter and salt served with the bread. There are many better restaurants in Kennebunkport, especially for the price paid for a meal at this restaurant.

Wonderful! Views of ocean and Bush compound. Tables impeccable. Food served in 3 - 4 - 5 courses. We had 3 and it was more than enough for us. Lobster and swordfish meals were perfect. Plan to spend $400 and you'll be okay.

Excellent multi course dinner with a wine pairing for each course. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The halibut was a standout.

This is by far our favorite fine dining restaurant in the area. We love the unique dishes and flavors the chef prepares. Our server, Olivia, was delightful. You can't beat the view!

Great views, excellent service. We had the four course dinner and the food was excellent, and beautifully prepared. They acknowledged our anniversary and we highly recommend the halibut and duck. Wonderful for a special occasion but very pricey.
