Menu is somewhat limited but the food was very good. The view is spectacular!

I had a reservation for over a month since I was from out of town through Open Table. The menu they had listed on their website and OT was completely different from what they handed my party and I. Their menu consisted of 2 entrees and 2 handheld sandwiches and a few appetizers compared to a lengthy menu online. It is peak season week in October and not a reservation to be found. This place was chosen based on allergies and such and what was available was not. So disappointing. Atmosphere was nice inside the restaurant area but rest of building looked deserted and parking scarce. Friendly hostesses.

Open table menu is not what they serve, I had a reservation for over a month coming from out of town and they had 2 appetizers 2 sandwiches and 2 dinners compared to online menu. So disappointing.
Very small menu. While very understaffed the team of 3 did the best they could. The review is more for Mgt. Just close if you can only offer a very very small selection on the menu.
Food was pretty good, but service was definitely lacking. Our appetizers were brought without silverware (we ultimately had to go get it ourselves), and our drinks took 10 minutes longer than our appetizers to arrive. Our burgers were actually pretty good, but we could also hear that two other tables didn’t get their drinks after at least 10 minutes as well. At this point there were only about 4 tables seated too so it couldn’t really come down to being too busy, just forgetful service it seems. The location/view of the water is great though, and the lawn seems nice for a cocktail if you can order directly from the bar. Probably won’t return until we see some improved ratings on service.

Disappointed at the menu. 4 dinners choices and out of 1 of them despite a 6pm reservation. No one dining there. Won't go back
Disappointing circumstances regarding their abrupt staff layoff; whatever the reason, I can’t fathom they did not have at least some staff worth retaining. Will not be supporting either location in the future and will spread the word.
Terrible atmosphere Dirty windows Children of waitstaff running around unsupervised, yelling Will not go again
Took 45+ minutes to get a drink after we sat down. Didn’t order our meal until an hour and 15 minutes after seating. Food was averaged Servers were trying to work hard but seems management lacking. Wouldn’t recommend.

Stripers Waterside at the Breakwater Inn is Kennebunkport’s hidden gem. As is the case in most places, staffing is often short, but the location, quality of the menu, and the kindness of the waitstaff make you feel like you are dining waterside at your own home. Pro tip: park behind the Breakwater Inn & Spa Building (127 Ocean Avenue) and walk over through the stone entry or beachside.

The view was breathtaking. The service was excellent. The food not so much. I ordered the fish and chips. The haddock was dry, overcooked and tasteless. To say I was quite disappointed is an understatement. Paying over $30 for this dish was not worth it.
Food was good and view was beautiful. Waiter was attentive. Large table with children behind our table noisy at first but then quieted down.
Great sunsets. Limited menu..very short on dessert choices. Food was average. Service poor...had to chase down waiter 3x. Pricey. Displeased with experience. Used to be fabulous.
If I could give a zero for the food I would. Only thing good about this place was the kid that was serving us. Started with the fries calamari….BAD. I had the steak. It was plain with ZERO flavor. I asked for steak sauce and he says they don’t have any. My wife had the salmon and it was horrible. Even the soda water with cranberry was bad. It was FLAT. How can you mess up a soda water is beyond me but they did. Food is better at Texas Roadhouse for a fraction of the price. Very disappointing….and this was our anniversary dinner.

We made a reservation for our anniversary. Stripers required a credit card for the reservation. When we walked in there were a total of 4 groups in the restaurant...and looking back, we could see why. We started with the calamari and we gagged and couldn't eat them. Worst we've had. I had a steak that was just horrible. No flavor. I asked for steak sauce and they said they couldn't find any. My wife had the Atlantic salmon and it was HORRIBLE. We will not be back. The only thing that was ok with the place was our server. Save yourself the headache and pick another place.
