Our 36th Anniversary, second time we've dined at Ultramar. Everything was fine, we really enjoyed the food. Although the French fries with the lobster roll were pretty generic frozen crispy crinkles. I expected better. Still, that won't keep us from dining there again. I just won't get the fries
Another extraordinary dining experience at Ultramar in Kennebunkport. Between us we had the Grilled Branzino and the 8oz Filet, with sides of creamed spinach and roasted potatoes with a horseradish sauce (which could have been stronger for horseradish lovers). Everything was impeccably prepared and absolutely delicious.
Although the food is amazing, the location is along beautiful coastal Maine, and the restaurant atmosphere is very chic, you must be prepared when you sit down and order a nice bottle of wine or a cocktail that you will not be allowed to order oysters or an appetizer/starter until you have made your final meal selection.
