My (non-vegan) partner REALLY wanted BBQ for their birthday and I was so lucky to find this place that would have options for me too!! BBQ tofu was to die for! I will be back to try the Seitan Ribs, sandwiches, and different sides. I also had a delicious mocktail - don’t remember what it was called but it was ginger beer, lemonade, and maple syrup. They have an option to add CBD to their mocktails which I thought was fun! Our server was great and overall we had a really good time!

Love it. Always stop by when in town. Even superb vegan food (for a BBQ placer seriously impressive :) ) and a good selection of local brewed New England beer and IPA’s. Love it

Visiting from NYC! I got 1/2 chicken, baked potato, Mac and cheese and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything besides the pull pork sandwich lacked a lot in flavor. Chicken was a tiny bit undercooked as well, baked potato was hard and not easy to cut into, Mac and cheese could use a huge upgrade as well. Other than that it a nice place and service was excellent.

This place came recommended to us by a vegetarian friend of ours, and we were in disbelief that vegans and vegetarians would be taken seriously by a BBQ place (I worked at one recently, so I sort of know). We were wrong and quite amazed. Everything was clearly marked on the menu of how it came or how it could be modified, and I'm still thinking of the seitan "ribs" from last night with the great texture and smoke. Didn't hurt that the bartender was great and the beer list was short but solid.

Starters of the poppers (wholesale source?) and shishito peppers were ok. The autumn salad was a winner, but the added hot link was nothing special. The chopped beef sandwich was a large portion, but even with the added slaw ($1 up charge) and sauce was a little dry. The old-fashioned cocktail lacked the advertised cherries, but the sweet tea was just right. We can say now that we tried it here, but we know of other better options.

Fantastic barbecue with friendly staff make for a great experience.

Everything we ordered exceeded expectation: jalapeño cornbread started us off on the right path and the pulled pork, brisket and ribs were all tender and flavorful. The deep fried baked potato and french fries were an excellent addition to the meal and the house bbq sauces provide a little extra flavor if desired.

Maine-Texas connection? Yes, you can go to Walker's Point and try to capture a glimpse of the Bush family. Or, for a tasty alternative head to Badger Island and visit Ore Nell's Barbecue.

It's a great location for handicap individuals. It was very easy for me to go from the car to the picnic table located riverside. See pictures.

They have authentic Texas dry rub BBQ, created by an authentic Texas Pitmaster. This is real Texas BBQ intended to be eaten without sauce. Some establishments in Texas would grab you by the scruff of your neck and throw you out if you asked for sauce. At Ore Nell's Barbecue they're more tolerant and do have both a spicy and tangy molasses sauce that we New Englanders can use to satisfy our BBQ sauce cravings.

Pretty good bbq. Taste is good and quality is excellent. Staff is friendly. Prices are high. Overall experience is good. Only downside is the virtue signaling tranny sign on the front entrance.

A tranny sign representing diddling children and a mental health disorder hardly represents food. This is what the left brings you ladies and gentleman. In fact, the terrible response to my review further enhances my point. I dont see an "All Are Welcome" sign out front...instead its a multicolored attempt at sending the message of virtual signaling. So saying everyone is welcome but using that flag to carry an agenda isnt "inclusive". Cant eat a meal these days without a stupid agenda being shoved in our faces...

Remember when the food critic in Ratatouille ate the Ratatouille and was transported back to his childhood? That's how I experienced Ore Nell's Hot Honey Jalapeño Cornbread.

What a great find - the brisket had a perfect smoke ring and tasty bark. My wife had the ribs and Cole slaw. Great atmosphere and a wonderful staff - no wonder the parking lot was packed.
