I can't be thankful enough to Carrie Michaud for accommodating a last-minute catering request for me. Carrie and the friendly, professional young man who gave me a detailed explanation of the order and how to get it ready for serving, could not have been more helpful. Loved Sam’s since I was a kid… nostalgia most likely but that nostalgia must make them some $$ by keeping the same recipes they’ve always had. Their Italian sandwiches are supreme though 100% compared to other stores that use provolone cheese or pickle chips instead of sliced spears and American cheese.
My husband and I just had lunch at the Sam’s Italian Restaurant in Augusta, Maine. The cranberry almond chicken salad sandwich was excellent, and I had to save half of it for later because it was so huge. My husband had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and he said it was the best he ever had.
Kind, friendly employees. The place was nice and clean. Glad we found this restaurant.
We will definitely be back soon.
