Our food was out fast, freshly made and exactly as ordered! Quality was GREAT, my burrito was absolutely stuffed full! It was a little busy so it was a bit loud, but atmosphere was great otherwise!

South of the Border | Mexican is a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in Lewiston, ME. The food is simple, good, and far from authentic. The menu is simple, making it easy to order. Favorite items include the burrito with mildly seasoned beef, cheese, and hot sauce, the chicken tacos (especially on sale for taco Tuesday's), and the 2 enchilada meal with rice and beans. The Super Burrito is huge and full of beef, while the chicken enchilada dinner is very good with chicken that isn't dry. Tacos and queso and chips are also good. Everything is fresh and tasty, prepared fairly quickly. The service is great, friendly, and fast. The staff remembers names and orders. Kyle is an amazing host/waiter, and Mike the owner introduces himself. It is a really cool place to hang out, shoot some pool, and have really good food and drinks. One of the ALL TIME favorite restaurants for over 30 years.
