I was lucky enough to attend a workshop Annemarie does in Mexico City at Sobremesa Cooking School. It was the BEST! She did specialties from 3 different regions of Mexico. Her knowledge and love of Mexican culture, people and food shines though her with warnth and joy. She teaches with confidence and calmness. She makes every step fun and unintimidating. We cooked and ate ALOT of wonderful food in 4 days. We also had a tamale making class and dinner from a local chef on his roof top deck. It was majical. We also did a Churro tasting and Taco Tour, both super fun. If you are into travel and cooking I highly recommend Annemarie's cooking workshops. Thank you Annemarie for a highly memorble trip to Mexicao City. Warm Regards, Lolly

Wow. What a great experience. I let all my kids pick a graduation experience. I love to cook and I raised my kids to do the same. My youngest picked a cooking experience for his graduation, and he had never been to Maine so I picked a SWF 3 day Italian class. It could not have been better. Anne Marie is brilliant. The place is gorgeous. The hands on experience was informative and something we will benefit from forever. Loved the small class and all of our classmates. We couldn’t recommend it more highly. We will never forget it.

If you are looking for a place to take a cooking school class and you are either in the area, or on vacation, I would recommend this as a top things to do.Anne Marie runs weekly classes throughout the summer, the classes are informative and the local foods are well sourced and very fresh and seasonal. The six course lunches are hands on, broken down into teams and you really get a feel for being involved. There is a fine balance of demonstration and hands on, to everyone’s comfort level. After plates are prepared, you can walk out to the ocean, or sip wine outside at the table under the grape vines, just like you would picture at a vineyard in Italy.

Anne Marie is an amazing instructor and a pleasure. We made pizza from scratch and it was amazing. Highly recommend taking an online or in person class!

I’ve been to nearly two dozen classes at this gem of a cooking school in Midcoast Maine. Annemarie is a wonderful chef, instructor, person... we have learned so much over the last three years and look forward to continuing this journey. I don’t know who gave this a 1 star rating... anonymously.... with no written explanation... I assume a troll who hasn’t even attended a class. If you have a chance to experience a workshop or class here, jump on it!

While I was working at the community center in Yarmouth, we would often have donations come in from around the area. A few products of this establishment arrived, but not often asked for. Having never tried Kefir before, I took it upon myself to try Salt water Farms blueberry and normal Kefir.I was astonished.I immediately was blown away by the quality and effervescence of the substance. When I moved to Idaho, I tried to find something similar but to no avail. There is no replacement for mastery. There is not an equal I know of. There is no way that I will visit Maine again and not come to visit this location.

Anne-Marie Ahearn is more than a trained chef and cooking instructor. She is a creator of all things the look and taste of food should be. Salt Water Farm is a beautiful place to learn about food and gain an understanding about how things come together from the ground (literally) to the table. The property is situated high above the water which makes for picturesque scenery. Salt Water Farm is a must see and do for all home cooks.

Incredibly small portions of odd, mediocre food! We had to laugh, or would have cried over the $140. tab which only included one carafe of wine. What will this place do when the hype and the summer people disappear?

We visited the area on our 7th wedding anniversary and took a fleeting stab at finding the perfect place for Sunday brunch before heading back home. Our expectations were exceeded at this quaint, yet open and inviting eatery with excellent views of the harbor, complete with schooners and skiffs politely interrupting the view of the open ocean beyond. Each table, having various quantities and types of seating, whether by bench or by chair, was topped with freshly picked wild f

We were torn between the dynamic and beautiful aesthetic of the inner space which takes in the kitchen, but decided on the terrace overlooking the bay to enjoy a delicious meal on a perfect Maine day. The almond and berry bread pudding was heavenly...we'll be back soon.
