We chose this restaurant specifically for their Land and Sea dish, a combination of lobster and prime rib. Unfortunately, despite arriving on the last Saturday of the season, we were disappointed to learn that they were out of both lobster and prime rib. It's perplexing that they didn't have a sign or warning for customers, especially given the popularity of the dish and the fact that it was the end of the season. Plenty of other restaurants will warn you before you get seated if they are missing a popular dish.
As a result, we settled for the burger and fish and chips. Sadly, the burger was so subpar that it resembled something I'd get at my high school cafeteria. The chips were barely warm, and the overall meal was so disappointing that even Taco Bell would have been a better choice.
In hindsight, we should have left as soon as we heard they were out of the main dish.
edit: thanks for the response: For clarification, when we arrived, the host didn't mention any out-of-stock items. We even went to the bar for drinks while we waited. It wasn't until after we were seated that the waitress informed us about the unavailable dish. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to post a sign outside to alert customers of out-of-stock items, just in case the host or servers forget to inform them.

Agree with this Brett that also wrote a review.. maybe if you still worked there food would at least passable. Horrible dining experience, trying to be something there are not capable of pulling off. Waitress was terrible. Had reservations for 8 and they threw 2 tables together when we arrived, that were different heights with 10 chairs. Could not even pull of a hamburger and 3 of 6 entrees were not available due to a "busy" weekend. Would have appreciated that information when reservations were made. DO NO WASTE TIME OR MONEY!!!

Honestly I would have ranked lower but I do know some of the people I was with enjoyed their food. We had a reservation for 8 and when we arrived we were informed they do not have steak, wings or lazy lobster. My father had been looking forward to getting a "land and sea" meal on our last day in Maine. I like to think that a restaurant would inform you when making the reservation that they are out of almost 1/4 of their entrees, but I guess not.
I had also ordered a burger, medium. What I received I can only describe as beyond well done. I would have sent it back but once we got our food we didn't see our server for 45 minutes.
Service was incredibly slow the food was very expensive and was far below expectations. Would not recommend.

A place we have driven by for years and had never tried. The positives were the service and the chicken sandwich. The haddock chowder was more of a potato chowder with the potatoes not fully cooked through. The fish and chips had a very greasy crust and when cooled, lost its crunch but unfortunately, retained all the oil. The cole slaw was tasteless. The chips were actually very good. Our server was excellent.
Awesome food and amazing staff! Every server/bartender that we've ever had here has been the best! This is not your average pub food. The flatbread pizza is probably the best I've ever had and the wings are phenomenal. We always have a great time here!

Recommended by our innkeeper this place did not disappoint! Tried “Lazy Lobster” and was sold on the idea! My husband had the scallops and they were melt-in-your mouth amazing! Service and atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommend!
