“This a perfect example of how ones perspective could evaluate their experience. If you're an actual Mainer, this us a perfectly good place to grab lunch, dinner, shoot pool or listen to live music. The food was decent. The homemade crinkle fries were the best I've ever had (usually crinkle fries come from frozen, yuck), and my steak bomb was decently prepared. They have some local beers on tap and the usual cheap pilsners. They have pool tables here, it's cash only, and I felt right at home with the locals. If you're not from around here, go somewhere else because it's not like what you're used to. Go to the pretentious Flux and complain about there because you'll be more used to that environment. “We stayed two nights while dropping our son off at Bowdoin. The owner Eileen was very welcoming. We stayed in the suite, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast both days. We definitely plan to stay there again when we are in Brunswick.“

“A pleasant surprise! We were driving leisurely back from Longfellow's Greenhouse on a Sunday afternoon, and stumbled upon Melissa's Pub and Grill. The food was excellent, as were the prices. To add to the enjoyment, there was live music from a guy named Justin Carver. The staff was pleasant, and seemed to have a good time together, which says a lot about a place! We'll be back!“

“Our first time trying 99 Restaurant and it did not disappoint. I had the appetizer trio of chicken flatbread, fried cauliflower nuggets and potato skins. All were very good. He had the sirloin burger plate with mashed potatoes and gravy & corn. Good, quick service and affordable lunch.“
