Great food, great service! They also have Gifford's ice cream and that's just a bonus! The chicken baskets are really good, you get your money's worth. The lobster roll also will not disappoint.
Tacoma Lakes Take Out is a seasonal drive-in restaurant located at the corner of Routes 9/126 and Hallowell Rd next to the Litchfield Post Office. The place is open April-October serving up Gifford's Ice Cream treats, and hot drive-in fare including burgers, steamed hot dogs, sandwiches/subs, fried boneless chicken, fried seafood (haddock, sea scallops, shrimp, whole clams), fries, onion rings, and lobster rolls. Pleasantly surprised! That last time we came here was not too good. This time much better. I Had a steak and cheese sub. The roll was yummy fresh! Hubby had chicken fingers and fries, tons of fries. The food was hot. The only drawback was WAY too much salt on the fries, other than that good. And oh yeah... The ice cream sooo good!
