Decent place to eat, excellent people just wish there were more fried clams when you order the clam dinner, too many fries.But overall good food

Pleasantly surprised! That last time we came here was not too good. This time much better. I Had a steak and cheese sub. The roll was yummy fresh! Hubby had chicken fingers and fries, tons of fries. The food was hot. The only drawback was WAY too much salt on the fries, other than that good. And oh yeah... The ice cream sooo good!

Great food, great service! They also have Gifford's ice cream and that's just a bonus! The chicken baskets are really good, you get your money's worth. The lobster roll also will not disappoint.

Tacoma Lakes Take Out is a seasonal drive-in restaurant located at the corner of Routes 9/126 and Hallowell Rd next to the Litchfield Post Office. The place is open April-October serving up Gifford's Ice Cream treats, and hot drive-in fare including burgers, steamed hot dogs, sandwiches/subs, fried boneless chicken, fried seafood (haddock, sea scallops, shrimp, whole clams), fries, onion rings, and lobster rolls. Pepsi products served here. The place has outside order/takeout windows with picnic table seating on the grass and outside patio seating on the back side of the building. I stopped here for lunch takeout recently. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Fries Special ($7.49 plus tax), which was ready in about 10 minutes. The Pulled Pork Sub very tender chunks of lean pork smothered in a sweet BBQ sauce on a firm Italian sub roll. The generous amount of fries were were deep fried golden and crispy and hot, I did not get ice cream on this visit since it was still in the 40s outside and very windy in April. With the good friendly staff with a smile, I would stop here again at TLTO for good drive-in food and ice cream on a nice summer day! SEASONAL HOURS (OPEN 7 DAYS): April-May: 11AM-8PM, June-August: 11AM-9PM, September-October: 11AM-8PM
