Great restaurant! Unfortunately there wasn’t gluten free fried food which is strange since so many of the reviews and the google description said there was. We had a nice time still and I had a yummy blackberry and chicken salad! Very friendly waitress and great drinks too!

We went to the Dragonfly the night of my birthday and to be quite honest, it was probably one of the most unique birthday experiences. We were in town overnight to see the sunrise at West Quoddy Head. The Dragonfly was the only real place we found for food and drinks. We are not from the city and still appreciated the back-woods vibe. We went on a night with live music which while not very good was entertaining and had us laughing. The bar and waitstaff were very attentive and kept the drinks coming. The decor was cute and the bathrooms clean. What else can you expect in small town Maine? If we are ever in Lubec again, we will re-visit the Dragonfly for sure.

Given we were in Lubec at the end of April when hardly any dining establishments were even open, we set the bar pretty low for a simple supper here but this place didn’t even attempt to meet the bar. The rickety broken wooden steps & garbage strewn around the yard should have been a colossal clue but we ignored that in hopes of “ not judging a book by its cover” philosophy. There was a hand written sign on the door that said the place would be closing to the public at 5 pm for a private party but it was 4:10 so we figured we were ok. We figured wrong. People were decorating the open room & no one said anything to us after we walked in. After standing there for a few minutes, I walked over to the bar to ask the bartender if they were still serving food until 5? She coldly & unwelcoming stated, they were closing at 5. When I said I thought it was only a little after 4, she just stared at me. Ok, we finally got it & left. No worries, we won’t return.

Considering this was the only Bar/ restaurant open it may have a monopoly of everything at night after 9:00 p.m. it was pretty disgusting. The menu online did not match up anywhere close to the menu when we got there and we had to listen to the owner singing karaoke All night Long. The food consisted of burgers burgers and more burgers and everything fried. The menu offered salad but we were told that they had none.I should have stayed back in my hotel instead of driving 9 miles and gone hungry for the night I would have also been richer.

First waitress messed up all our food orders, then started drinking and mingling with everyone. The bar tender was so nice and she was able to remedy the situation. Then we had to leave because we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.. I know good help is hard to find. Probably won't go back.

This little bar and grill is on 189 quite a ways out of town. The parking lot is rutty, the wooden stairs are rickety and the atmosphere is dark ...but the staff is super friendly and the food is basic but well done. We had hoped for fish tacos but they had disappeared from the menu. Instead we had fish and chips with a couple of beers from the local brewery. The fish was fresh, the fries were not frozen and the service was great.

Walked into a local benefit dinner. Before we could react to excuse ourselves, the owner kindly stopped us and told us to have seat. We sat down had great service, and relieved our food swiftly after ordering. Great atmosphere, food, and friendly staff!
