We made a day trip to this far eastern part of the US as part of our vacation to Maine this past October. I had looked online and found a few places for us to eat lunch before heading on to the West Quoddy Lighthouse and so we arrived in Lubec right at noon. We quickly found out that this late in the season most places in Lubec were only open for dinner, including the one we'd found online. I crossed the border for dinner. I enjoyed my seafood chowder, wharf burger and steamed mussels. The muscles were exceptionally fresh and extremely tasty. The burger was on point but sadly the chowder was missing a little something. That was a bit of a letdown since they had four chowders on the menu and I was really looking forward to picking one.
