Mason's Brewing Company Downeast

Only had 1 dark. A very plain Stout. Food was OK. The Clam Chowder had more bacon than clams.

OMG. What has happened to Mason's in Machias? Haven't been there in a couple of months. Previous visits were nice, good food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Last evenings visit was unpleasant to say the least. You get the feeling the place is on a downward spiral. The waitress was rude, curt and indifferent. After waiting 20 minutes for my drink order, I eventually had to go to the bar to get it myself. The food now seems ordinary. But the biggest turn off was a foul odor that started a few minutes into our visit that was almost unbearable. It smelled like a backed up septic system. Definitely crossing this one off my list of go-to restaurants.

I had the hot honey chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was perfect. Service was friendly and fast. We were just driving through town and very happy we saw this place and stopped. A true hidden gem in the northland. Big thanks from a Kansas City visitor.

Great local brewery, other than The Anchor, it’s the only place to get some drinks. Great brewery with some great food.

We met Sara the bartender and she gave us a few tastings of beer. I do not like coffee and ended up with PB Stout as it has a mild coffee after taste and smell. She recommended the Once Upon A Time in the West pie and it was a 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend this place for beer and pizza. FYI - try a little honey on your pie (aka Colorado style)!

We (two people) waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our food on top of a 15 minute seating wait. The hostess did mention when we were being seated that the kitchen staff was doing their best to get the food out, however (a) it would have been good to tell us before we waited at all, and (b) of course that was no hint they were that backed up.

The truffle pig pizza I ordered was pretty good, I thought, however, the side of Mexican street corn I got was not what I expected, either in taste or presentation.

I am so happy this place opened!! We vacation at a camp in Harrington and to have a brewery this close is fantastic. The beers were awesome and the food was great!! I look forward to visiting again next year. I hope they get more shirts in stock. I really wanted some but the ones I wanted were out. But thats not even something to complain about. Thanks for the great place and again we really cannot wait to come back

This place is awesome for Machias. It brings a good atmosphere, different food, space for larger parties, and a cool vibe to town. It can cater to young and seasoned adults. It hit the mark, checks the boxes in a lot of ways. Stop by for a beer, some food, and fun. We had a great time there.
