Last market Lobster of the night was so badly overcooked that all the legs were dried empty and the claws had shrunk so badly that there was no meat left. It’s really badly overcooked when over 2/3 of the butter goes back to the kitchen. I was so excited for “Maine Lobster” and this was the worst of my experiences. Dublin Ireland , Nova Scotia and Quebec has had WAY better prepared lobster then Helen’s. Totally ruined the “Maine Vacation Experience”
loved the pies, and much more. i used to lived in Deblos..back in the 50 . good food .
We have went here many times and the one in Ellsworth yesterday was the last time. I ordered the fish and chips got four pieces of fish the size of a chicken nugget. Asked the waiter why no fish and he was a little rude. Told him been there many times and to Ellsworth and there was always a decent chunk of fish not little nuggets and not a sorry or ill go see why or anything. Needless to say we won’t be back.
