“Best place in town buffet is amazing“

“Moose River Lodge is a must go to for an excellent meal. The Cesar salad is fresh and enough to share. We always get the mussels for an appetizer. My kids get the pan fried dumplings. My husband has had the salmon with the maple glaze sauce and wants me to make it for him! I went with the prime rib medium rare, maple glaze carrots, and the scalloped potatoes are a must have! My adult kids couldn’t get over how delicious the fettuccine was. The went with the chicken no broccoli. Only 2 adults could finish their meal after a long dat of snowmobiling. The dining room is cozy, and warm, and the wait staff are very friendly and accommodating! They don’t rush you with your courses, and make you wanting to go back again! While you are there make sure you try their delicious cocktails too, you won’t be disappointed 😋! We will be back, every time we are up there ! Juliene Adriance& family“

“we have gone multiple times now and everyone we have had was great and friendly! i have food allergies and they went above and beyond to ensure i had something good to eat! checked multiple items for ingredients! the burgers are AMAZING!“

“I would give this place 5 star, yet if you have a large group (11 of us), they will not split the check up. I've eaten all over and never heard of this. It was not convenient, considering some of us only had credit cards. On a great note, our young waitress was on top of her game! She mentioned how they were short of staff, and she was working so much without much time off! Impressive young lady who knows the meaning of work. The food was great! I recommend it.“

“Went to bishops store in Jackman , Maine today Saturday August 16, 2025 . Ordered food the young girl taking order wasn’t listening ; had to repeat order 5–6 times ( totally ridiculous ) . Then paid for the food order ; and the male cashier forget to give me my $8.00 in change due to not paying attention . Finally got our Italian sub with very BROWN wilted lettuce on sub . Showed the food preparer the brown lettuce . Also their bread is horrible . I give my experience a huge F —IN FAILURE & very LOUSY experience . On a scale of 1 to 10 ; and 1 being the lowest that’s my rating . Horrible experience today !“

“I do recommend this place but just a courtesy for the establishment: if you have a fill in waitress because it's school Vaca week and you're busy, make sure said waitress is friendly, polite, courteous, and most of all, knows how to communicate. we were there Monday morning and they were busy, yes, but when we are greeted right away and was told she would bring coffees and oj for us, it was a good 15 minutes for coffee. another 15 minutes and she was talking at the bar so I approached her and said we are ready to order whenever she's available. she did come over, took order, and that was it. she never kept us informed of how much longer it would be, and after the 1 hour mark and people who came in after us getting food I asked her job much longer and the attitude she gave me was completely out of line. I understand it's busy and you are stressed, but not communicating with the patrons and blaming the kitchen staff for the "mix up" is lame. in all was there for 1.5 hours, and only got coffee. she did bring us the oj that she watered down in front of us though, so Thank you for that.“
