There was a story on the local news channel about how this place had the most fantastic natural ice cream with very unique flavors and ingredients and dairy from local cows, etc., so I had to check it out. It used to be a snack bar at Outlet Beach on Sabbathday Lake, but it only has ice cream now. I tried two flavors, the Tahitian vanilla that was wonderful, and the fresh corn with blueberry compote. Excellent Non-dairy ice cream in so many amazing flavors we had a hard time deciding . The peach basil was phenomenal. The fresh fig and watermelon delicious as was the coconut ice cream with fresh strawberries ! Great flavors !!
Not only have they stopped serving food, but when we were there today (Monday, July 9), they had none of their made-in-house ice cream. My daughter had a Luigi‘s ice for three dollars - yikes! Fortunately we were able to pick up sandwiches at the always excellent Village Store in New Gloucester, just 10 minutes away. I think next time, we’ll just skip the beach and go straight to the Village Store.
