Reviews for Food for Thought

We decided to stop in several restaurants for appetizers and a bourbon. We passed Food for Thought while walking from our hotel into downtown Oqunquit. It was the best of the 3 restaurants we hit up. The outside seating is beautiful and clever. The bar was comfortable. The service was fantastic. The bartender was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We ordered (and split) the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was delicious. We ate some of the best french fries ever. full review
We stayed nearby and had such a great ongoing experience with the staff. Jamal, the host, kept us informed of happenings and entertained by his dance moves. Our waiter, Chris, recommended great drinks and food based on our likes and the most detailed tourist notes based on our many questions. Late-season visit on our first trip to Maine. It was chilly & raining, but the wait staff greeted us with warmth sufficient to keep us there, even allowing creative seating options due to the rain. My wife & I had the Ribeye burger, with a side of Ogunquit fries. Both were cooked flawlessly. My wife ordered gluten free & I did not, but both came out in GF buns. My wife mentioned it & the two staff members involved insisted on fixing it, saying "it's all about the experience." full review
