“I travel to Portland a few times a month and we always stay at the Westin. Mainly because they have a fantastic indoor rooftop bar. Rasheed is their bartender and he is absolutely PHENOMENAL! He’s also from Boston and greets us with a kind, friendly atmosphere always. Even when other wait staff is struggling to keep up with the demand, he goes above and beyond for customers here. He’s always running around but still carves out time to chat with us to make us feel important. Props to Rasheed and host Adam for being so great! We are so grateful for your hospitality.“

“I am blown away by the food I ate last night at the Armory! I've come here for years for the fancy cocktails and one time I had an impressive charcuterie board but never came for dinner. I saw the Maine restaurant week menu and knew I had to visit. The bartender informed my husband and I that they have a new chef from Boston and let me tell you, he knows what he is doing! I had the seafood cakes to start and my husband had the arancini. Both were on point! For my main course I had the parsnip risotto. OMG! The risotto was cooked perfectly. It was creamy with a sweet sauce, some crunch, fresh spinach, salty Parmesan, just the right balance! My husband had the pappardelle bolognese which he loved. For dessert I had the raspberry cheesecake. It was rich and smooth with the perfect amount of sauce and fresh raspberries. My husband had the flourless chocolate torte and he devoured it. Our server recommended a bottle of Malbec which was delightful. A fantastic experience!“

“Todd in the back lounge is the kindest, most talented bartender around. His cocktails are top notch and he is completely dedicated to his guests’ experience. We spend a lot of time at the Press Hotel and have personally witnessed him treating every guest with respect, class and above and beyond service.“

“I had breakfast at this restaurant with my wife and we had a great time. The breakfast was excellent.I had the hashing eggs , and she had an omelet, and we both enjoyed it. It was great to be near the waterfront and actually get a feel of the old town while enjoying a great meal with great people.“

“This place is such a hidden gem in Portland. You may be quick to pass it since it's connected to the Hyatt hotel, but don't - absolute top notch bar tenders and incredible cocktails. I have not eaten here but the food does look good as well. If you like old fashions and/or manhattans, be sure to check this place out. I come here at least once for a drink every time i am in Portland.“
