Nice place! Beautiful water view. Good food. Wish we were there in the daytime! Lobster roll was good. Grilled chicken sandwich was spot on and the fried shrimp basket was a winner.

Delicious. A very pleasant accidental find. Great food, friendly service, fine seaside view.

This is a great place for dinner but less so for lunch. Food is much better at dinner time. You can’t beat the location (it’s right on the beach) but the lunch choices were pretty expensive for what you get.

We sat at the outside tables overlooking the water and watched for seals. The waiter was pleasant and helpful as I asked about the breakfast offerings. They even grilled my freshly baked blueberry muffin!

We loved our first visit to Spinneys. Beautiful location and nice casual Maine atmosphere. We had lobster and fish tacos. Both were great. You must get a slice of Trish’s pie for dessert. We’ll be back.

Spinney’s is an absolute must if you’re trying to experience a quintessential Maine getaway. The location is incredible. Situated right between on the beach and backdropped by a beautiful historic fort; you’re immersed in both natural beauty and old Maine charm.

If the atmosphere isn’t enough for you alone, the service will surely bring you back time and again. The entire staff are welcoming and knowledgeable and really anticipate your every need. During my entire visit my glass was never left empty. My server was so patient with my many questions regarding the menu (I have dietary restrictions.)

Being in the service industry myself, I often find myself wondering if the restaurant I’m visiting would be a fun place to work. I typically make that judgement by listening to the staff interact with each other. Spinney’s is brimming over with warm laughter. You can tell that these folks genuinely love their jobs and their coworkers. And that makes the dining experience all the more satisfying.

Also- the cocktails?? AMAZING. Incredibly well balanced and I loved the fun names. I had the shrimp scampi and I couldn’t get enough of it. My husband had the baked haddock and he loved that as well. We will definitely be returning!

If you remove the good food and friendly staff, the atmosphere and view alone are worth a drive down to Spinneys. However, with excellent food and great staff you will find yourself willing to stay for hours eating and drinking on the deck while watching the seals play in the mouth of the Kennebec River.

I continue to go back every summer to enjoy a slice of Maine's beautiful coast. It never disappoints.

One of the most atmospheric and genuine experiences I’ve had in my trips to Maine.
Popham beach is a beautiful location and my experience at Spinney’s made it much more so. I’d like to thank my Server, Sara, for giving our family a great dining experience. The food was fresh and the view was amazing. We deal with a lot of food related issues and the kitchen executed our meals very well and no one had issues! (Very rare for us when going to local restaurants). We will be back next year! Cheers

This place is dope! Good food, good vibes. Gorgeous views, right on the ocean. Friggin lighthouses! I had the lobster pizza which was made with a lobster bisque sauce. Could it get any more Maine than that?

What a hidden gem on Maine's midcoast. You will be lucky to stumble upon this place. It's right at the mouth of the Kennebec River so we got to watch seals and sea birds diving into the water just 50 feet away from our table.
The staff was quick, courteous, and attentive. The food was delicious. I had a fish tacos and my partner ordered the baked stuffed haddock off the specials menu and both were divine.
I'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends.
