Stopped by at around 1400 for lunch on a summer Sunday. Had the Fried Haddock Sandwich with a side salad and a couple Loon Call beers. Sandwich was tasty but quickly fell apart after biting into it. Had a lot of the shredded whatever that is on it and a generous amount of Tatar sauce. Salad was a Caesar salad side—worked just fine. The Loon Call beer tasty, pretty robust flavor for a light beer. Great beer and drinks menu with a simple and equally high quality food menu. Enjoyed the steak and frites and the frites were crisp, salty and perfect. Upscale atmosphere and great service.
My whole family (12 of us) is staying in Old Orchard Beach for the week and tonight we planned to go to dinner all together before the end of the week. The place where we made reservations cancelled on us and so we were SCRAMBLING. I called Batson River and even though I knew it was a stretch to sit 12 people short notice, they were more than happy to accommodate us -- they saved the night!!!
