What a great new restaurant for Midcoast Maine. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. They need more street signage so you can see it from Route 1 but you'll definitely be glad you went.

The food and service were wonderful and the ambiance of the dining area wonderful. The entry could be improved some as we first thought we were walking into the storage area. We will dine there again !

We used to live in Portland's Munioy Hill and regularly ate at the Blue Spoon there. We were thrilled to hear that it had reopened in Midcoast Maine. The new location does not disappoint! We had one of the most enjoyable dinners we've had in quite some time- the service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious, classic Bistro fare, and the ambiance was incredibly lovely. We will be back soon!!Kid-friendliness: We dined with our 8 and 10 year old and both children had a wonderful experience!

I’ve visited twice since this off-season gem opened a few weeks ago. Phenomenal for every occasion. On our first visit, we went all-out with a larger group; for the second, we slid up to the bar last-minute for an immensely satisfying burger after a long day when I was too busy to feed myself and nothing else was open in the area. Both phenomenal experiences.Highlights were the confit duck—finally! someone who can properly prepare duck!—which was balanced and brightened by the accompanying frisee et al; the steak frites, order to whatever temp the kitchen intended, which was on the pinker side of med-rare but uber-tender and rich, with a perfect crust; and I had a few bites of the chicken and I’ll probably order it next time when I’m looking for the ultimate comfort food on a cold night. Without going into detail, the starters are also great—go with a group and literally order them all to share. Prices are generous for the quality, local area, and state of the world in 2023.White Negroni and the Manhattan riff are executed perfectly and a good mix of interesting, while still accessible and fun. Great wine list, with lots of small producers. In a slow time of year in a place where I’ve often spent too much to be underwhelmed, this spot is a breath of fresh air.

Another great evening with friends at the Blue Spoon. The Salmon and Burgers were delightful with a tomato jam that takes the burger to another level. The service is warm and welcoming. They have found their footing and have provided another great option for diners in Camden. Thank you!

I had high hopes given owner reputations and early press. Sadly, it underwhelmed. Service was grindingly slow and choppy. Food was OK but expensive in small portions. Won’t be back.

We had a very good time. Food was excellent, staff was delightful. As the only ones in the restaurant at first, we were able to learn about the space, the move from Portland and the chef/staff. We will be back.

A great addition to the Rockport, Maine restaurant scene and well worth a visit. Our booking was during the opening weekend for this restaurant and they are still ironing out small details but overall we had a really pleasant experience and enjoyed great food along with really friendly, efficient service. We're hoping that the acoustics will get some attention as the room was extremely noisy, making it difficult to hold a conversation without yelling and adding to the cacophony. At one point we could hear faint strains of music trying to fight its way through the noisy chatter but it wasn't possible to tell its genre, only that it contained a bass guitar. Assuming that noise reduction get looked at we would highly recommend Blue Spoon.

The food was absolutely delicious! $18 for one glass of wine was a little steep. The restaurant noise level was way over the top. It was very hard to have conversation at our table of six.

Fabulous dinner and experience. We love the Blue Spoon and will miss it when Liz and Will move this delightful neighborhood restaurant, a fixture on Portland's Munjoy Hill, up to the midcoast. We wish them well and look forward to dining at their new venture when it opens!

First - the food was very good. The menu wasn't mind-blowing, but the preparations of everything we ate was delicious. For some reason everyone that was eating there was over 65 years of age, and the space was in desperate need of air conditioning despite it being only 70 degrees outside. I'm glad we went there, but it's not really the type of place you need to visit twice if you only make it to Portland a few times a year.

I have eaten here many times and recently for restaurant week. Worst server ever. He was rude, unfriendly, was so annoyed to have customers and told us to hurry up and leave so he could give someone our table. All that and the food was just ok. Turns out the rude waiter is the owner. Portland has a million good restaurants to try so I don't see the point of going here again. Certainly not to put up with a rude waiter.

Wonderful dinner... with kids! Lindsay, our server, was amazing. The food was refreshingly normal yet exquisite. Plus we walked in with no reservations on a Friday night. The atmosphere is COZY, yet romantic. My wife was walking on air after this meal.Kid-friendliness: Blue Spoon accepted my two children graciously and my kids loved the meal. They have burgers and pasta so even my picky eaters had something to enjoy.

I have loved the Blue Spoon since I first moved to the Hill in 2004. It still has a very approachable atmosphere, the food is out of this world, and the service is phenomenal. I love love love this place!
