The hotel credits the amenity fees towards restaurant purchases. Get a nightcap instead and don’t waste your time on this cafe when there are many great places to eat at in Portland. The food is barely edible at double the prices. I had the most pathetic avocado toast at $18, clearly tasted like guac out of a jar with a huge pile of red onions. I’ll give them credit they took it off my bill because I told them it wasn’t good.

Over easy eggs were over cooked and my companions omelet didn't have what we asked for in it. Very simple order was messed up. And they charged both people for coffee when only one asked for it. Wouldn't go again because of bad service on a simple meal.

Not what I expected. Very pricey for the quality and quantity of the food.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I booked an igloo for a bride to be and we were tremendously excited to have a magical evening. It could not have been further from that. The igloos themselves were adorable but the experience did not match the atmosphere. Unfortunately, our server told us immediately that he was the only server AND bartender for both the igloo experience and the restaurant inside. So I will preface all of this by saying this: it was not his fault that he was short staffed and set up to fail. He truly did try his best with the resources he had however he seemed absolutely miserable and it really brought the entire vibe down. As a service worker, I know what it’s like to have a bad night at work. But your bad night and is someone else’s bachelorette night. This was supposed to be an incredible evening for the bride. The drinks took 30 minutes to arrive (again, our guy did his best on that) and they did not have rye (how does a bar not have rye?). The food that we saw online was not available on the menu. He told us it was an old menu online and they have yet to update it. That was another tremendous disappointment as the food promised online was literally why we booked the igloo. The food we did order was undercooked french fries and freezing cold scallops. I was actually really embarrassed because I booked this for the bride and told her it would be wonderful and it was lackluster at best. I felt genuinely uncomfortable and more of a bother and a burden to our server. And quite frankly, I don’t blame our server because I wouldn’t want to be running around back-and-forth in the freezing cold in a T-shirt. The concept only works if there is staff who can facilitate it. I would have preferred them to call me and cancel my reservation knowing they only had one person running the entire dining and cocktail program. Or maybe comp a round of drinks at the very least? If you cannot give your diners a great experience, do not give them an experience at all. There are a million wonderful restaurants in Portland and I wish we had gone anywhere else. If a restaurant is short staffed, one person cannot possibly give an entire restaurant and outdoor diners a good experience.

We only went here because we were staying at the Portland Harbor hotel and were charged $35/night for food consumption in the restaurant (charged whether we used it or not). The food was ok. My husband had a burger for dinner which he said was good. I had clam chowder which was cold. The server was nice, but they are understaffed. Both times we ate here we had to wait a long time to be seated and for our order to be taken. They also gave us the wrong bill. We had to wait for the right one to get to us. If you are not staying here and required to eat here, I would not waste my time/money when there are so many good restaurants in the area!

I really want to like this place, especially as the terrace area is amazing and really a bit of an unknown jewel in Portland. But the service and quality of food are incredibly irregular. We've had great experiences and then ones where I question if we will ever come again. They definitely have staffing issues. I stopped by recently and asked if the patio was open for breakfast. The server - the only staff member I saw - when asked if the patio was open, said yes to sit but not to eat due to staffing. I asked when it might be open (as in, are there certain days?). The server replied, "it's open when we have staff." Ouch.

The lobster mac and cheese is a cruel joke. $40 for a petri dish of mac and cheese with about one claw's worth of lobster and two garlic knots. Based on the presentation one would have believed I ordered garlic knots with a lobster/cheese dipping sauce. I would have taken a picture, but by the time I thought to do so I had taken a bite and it was done. Someone should let the police know, because this dish is a crime.

I am extremely happy that I stopped at Harbor Bistro to have dinner. Tammy was my server and immediately I realized I was in good hands and I had made an excellent choice. She was responsive, easy to speak with and an enjoyable conversationalist. Tammy recommended the Coconut Limeade and it was so refreshing and hit the spot. I chose the Lobster Pot Pie and honestly it was the most delicious Pot Pie I have ever eaten. The light pastry on top was perfectly flaky and blended perfectly with the shrimp, crab, vegetables, and creamy lobster flavored sauce(NOT gravy). A bonus was the friendly environment and the friendly interaction with other customers. I will be going back any time I am going through Venice. Thank you for an excellent food experience!

Attempted to get a drink at an empty bar and was told it was a 30 minute wait because the bar tender was also the only waiter. However, the 2 gentleman that walked in right before me were told “he would be right with them.” Unsure if he had an issue with me having my 4 month old in a stroller with me.

What’s even more disappointing is I am a guest here that is getting charged an amenity fee of $35 a day that can be used at this restaurant. Avoid this place, it’s an absolute joke.

We had 7:30 reservations. Arrived about 20 minutes early to get a drink at the bar. No bar tender to be found. The hostess said to please have a seat. We sat at our table for over 25 minutes and was never greeted by anyone. The table next to us had the same problem. One person from their party had gotten up and approached the waiter to ask if he could come over to take orders. He responded “I have a lot of customers here you’re just going to have to wait”. We got up and left. I counted on my way out, the waiter had 3 tables he was taking care of. We had just arrived in Portland and was hoping for a nice dinner. The burger joint across the street had 1000 times better service.

I ordered a ceaser salad and it came with 4 slices of lettuce and a lemon. My friends all got lobster Mac and cheese which was $40 but the amount of food was smaller than my hand and only some parts of the noodles where regular the rest were blue like they were molded??? The only good thing was the cheese toast unfortunately!
