Loved the relaxed atmosphere. The staff was excellent and provided great information on the wines. Great experience, and hope to order wine from them when we get home. Usually, as dry wine drinkers we never know what to expect, but we make an effort to try local winemakers. We came away very impressed, especially with Iron Gate.

What a wonderful atmosphere! A lovely wine wall full of options. If you're passing through Portland, there are many very affordable gift options as well.

Fantastic place. Do not hesitate to visit this gem in Old Port. Great vibe- classy, cool. Wines are quality, the pricing is unbelievably low, and you're supporting a local business. Tip: Plan your lunch or early dinner on the wharf and walk 2 blocks over here. The Portland tours are right nearby, too. A great way to relax and spend part of your day.

We happened on this place as we were headed back to the waterfront after a visit to the Maine Historical Society museum. We're not wine snobs but being from California we know good wine when we taste it. This place has many varietals with good flavor profiles. Being a warm day, we stuck to the whites and enjoyed all. They're doing a surprisingly good job. Friendly, helpful staff. It's definitely worth a visit.

Impressive atmosphere and wine selection. The wine flights are very cute and you get a good amount. The flights are preselected and I do wish I could have chosen my own. But, the wine is tasty and sophisticated. The staff was very nice and patient. The building is cute. Overall, I’m happy I found this winery!

Closed, despite advertised open hours. Walked here from our marina only to find out that Monday 3 in the afternoon must be outside of their advertised 12 - 5 business hours.

Emily gave us such great energy and met our wine taster’s where we’re at. Amazing experience for a bachelorette group, thank you!!

This winery in midcoast Maine is very good. If you doubt red wine from a cold climate, this will change your mind. I'm originally from the Finger Lakes in upstate NY so I know how good wines, red and white, from a colder climate can be. Cellardoor does not disappoint. We've had several of their wines and the Buoy White and Irongate are two of our favorites. We stopped in the Middle Street Portland location to buy some wines to take back home and met Emily who is probably one of the nicest and most accommodating people you could meet. She gave us samples of many of the wines, making suggestions based on our tastes. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owners of Cellardoor should be very proud of the way she represents the company and its wines.

This might be one of my favorite places in Portland ? With their partnership with the West Coast, their reds are unusually robust and some surprising varietals that I haven’t seen as much of. Impressive and reasonable prices for their β€œa little bit of everything” tasting menu, the last wine comes with a very good tasting truffle. It was an unexpectedly nice pairing and guilty pleasure ?
