Like some other reviews I read, the experience was ok. It was crowded and loud - not a big deal. The prices are extremely high for what you get. I went with my 2 adult children. We got hummus, kale salad and falafel. We also got a total of 4 drinks - 2 wines and 2 local beers. The bill (with tip) came to $140. The icing on the cake for me was that they added a "Kitchen Wellness" fee to the bill. I am sorry but with the prices you are charging you should be able to pay your kitchen staff sufficiently and not pass that along to your patrons. I find fees like that utterly insulting and bothersome to the core. Even though the food was good, I will not go here again. As a matter of principle, I don't agree with their philosophy of having patrons pay kitchen wellness fees. Establishments should be responsible for paying their employees adequately, not customers.

We sat at the chef's bar to watch the kitchen action and opted to pick out 4 vegetarian options from the menu. The portions were generous for 2 people. If you are a big eater and like to take home leftovers, you can choose the Chef's tasting menu, because it is difficult to choose from all the menu options. Each dish was so tasty, with layers of robust flavor & texture. The food is very rich and while we couldn't eat like this every day, we thoroughly enjoyed every option we chose. Simple but creative dishes. We also savored an absolutely decadent chocolate dessert, craft beer & an alcohol free cocktail. The music was a great addition to the overall vibe, and the restaurant set up is unique and bar-style downstairs. I'm glad we close to sit on the ground floor and watch the action. There is also an option to sit at a table upstairs in the mezzanine. We plan to return to try other menu options. A unique dining experience. Very nice, attentive staff.

Evo was recommended to us by friends. My husband and I had our first dining experience there about two months ago. We ordered the chef's tasting menu, and we were blown away! Every course was amazing. My husband is fairly limited in his vegetable preferences and I would say that his favorite dishes were the vegetables. The love and creativity put into these dishes comes across very clearly. We have since been back to Evo two more times. Brandy was our server each time we visited. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations and was incredibly personable. We will continue to request her when we dine at Evo in the future. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.

We had a reservation for a specific time, we arrive & host tells us our table isn't ready. We patiently wait for 30 minutes & the table still isn't ready. He then offers us a drink as what we think is a gesture of good will. Of course not, when the bill finally arrives we find the drinks on our check. Not good service / hosting at all. Food was great, but you expect to be treated with class at a nice restaurant and host was far from it. I get you can't always predict tables but we thought the drink was a good gesture to call it even to only find out they aren't good hosts after all. I'd take your money somewhere else for this level of service.

Wonderful meal while in town for work. Had muhammara, carrots, and salmon, all fabulous, paired with an arrack-based cocktail, wonderful as well. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. Will come back with my wife to do the tasting menu, for sure.

Went to Evo last night and I don't think I can say enough great things about this place but I'll try. First, the food is amazing we had the kale salad, pita and dip, chicken shawarma, lamb kebab, mushrooms and scallops. Considering that they serve small plates this was still more than enough food. And they all were delicious but I think my favorites had to be the mushrooms and scallops. Second, the service was incredible. Brandy was AWESOME. My boyfriend and I are both bartenders/managers and we always appreciate when the service is stellar but Brandy was uniquely herself. It's easy to be nice but I always admire when hospitality feels personal. We nerded out on how mushrooms are going to save the world she even gave us some book recommendations on the subject. She was just awesome. Great Job Evo. We will be back!

Reservation was for 8:30pm, wasn’t sat until 9:10pm. While I was waiting, I noticed the chef calling orders scratch his nose before touching a customers plate that was being sent out. Ambiance was atrocious with blaring music that hurt my ears. Wasn’t told by any staff there was a menu change, and finally when I was sat found out their new menu for the night was almost entirely fish. I can’t eat fish. Had to leave and it ruined Valentines date night as it was too late to find another restaurant at that point. Disappointed in service.

We did the 8 course chef’s tasting menu and were not disappointed. The superior: The seasonal wine pairings, the beet salad, the skordalia, the scallops, the lamb, the salmon, the seared tunaThe slightly disappointed: The chocolate terrineThe would request to not have next time: the chicken course, while the stew/porridge was lovely, the chicken breast itself was too salty. While the service was friendly, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu, I’m going to be picky because I think they would appreciate the feedback1. The runners flew through the descriptions of each course and probably 5/8 course were a fun adventure to figure out the ingredients and flavors that weren’t immediately obvious. Perhaps printing this out would be helpful.2. The wine pairings aren’t mapped 1:1 with the courses. I would have liked some guidance on that from the start. Was not a detractor from enjoying everything, but I was constantly unsure when the next wine would come so it was a bit of a gamble on meting out the current glass. Again, a printed version would clear up any confusion.Quite pricey but I would eat here again.

Beware Gluten Free patrons: last week I got glutened and left there feeling like I was the problem. No one (manager chef) came over and apologized beside our waiter 20 mins later. We sat at the freezing chefs table which is located right in front of the door, we had our jackets on the whole time. There is a whole bar that sits around the kitchen why even seat people there it's freezing and not a pleasant experience ! My dining profile on my resy (application you set your reservations) states I'm GF , I also put it in the notes and I told them when we arrived. So three times Evo was told and I still got glutened (appetizer) unacceptable! The head chef was told he never looked our way and left for the eve (bigger fella and the Sous (shorter fella) same thing .I didn't even want to eat my meal after the appetizer and should have left but my friend was eating. Evo only offered to take off the appetizer that glutened me. I didn't touch my meal. As I was leaving I asked the hostess for the GM'a card, she looks at me (older lady with dark hair glasses) and rudely says I am the new GM I took off your appetizer do you need anything else? . Then said more snarky rude comments to me and I just shook my head in disgust and left before I said something nasty. Disgusting way to treat a patron with a medical condition! ! I have been to corporate chains-very exquisite super fine dining establishments (99 Applebees, Fore street, James beard restaurants ) and never ever experienced such rude behavior when it was their fault and in the wrong. The night prior I went to Fore Street. The chef brought out my food was kitchen staff was awesome , the manager checked in on us. Fire streets menu said what contained gluten and what didn't. Evo's menu didn't which I was surprised I thought that was the gluten menu cause I didn't even see anything on the menu that contained gluten. I ended up going after to eat at Via Vecchia and they had a great menu and great food! Go to Fore street, Via Vecchia both have a great GF menu! And we're so nice and accommodated my gluten allergy with kindness. I left Evo feeling hurt, sad and felt it was my fault which no one should ever feel! Beware!

Would give 10 stars if I could. Best food I have ever had in my life. And staff was incredible -- hostess and bartenders 10/10. Sat at the bar for my husband's 40th bday dinner -- in town from Boston. The greatest food experience -- everything was absolutely incredible. DO NOT MISS OUT on this spot.
