Checked out this place due to the sign that said "Maine's best friend chicken" which had me skeptical. Order a chicken sandwich and was not expecting it to look the way it did but being from the south and used to southern cooking I can tell it was gonna be good and BOY it was! Been looking for some southern style cooking since I moved up here and this place takes the cake! 100% will be making frequent visits!

Excellent chicken. It's exactly what they say it's going to be it's very good it's worth it if you feel like some chicken and this isn't your Kentucky fried that's for sure although I like that. Spend the money feed the family have a picnic, just do it.

Outstanding, simply outstanding. I’ve had a lot of fried chicken in my life. This is the best hands down. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, delectable. It smelled so good I had to crunch the thigh on my walk home. I wish I lived in Portland, I’d eat here every week.

Excellent service, large portion for the price, only two tables for outdoor seating, otherwise take out only. It's easy to bypass the place on accident. The chicken sandwich w mash potatoes if delicious. They check the temperature of eat sandwich before serving. The bun is the signature, gourmet biscuit.

Figgy's is great! The fried chicken is absolutely delicious! We are also big fans of the mac and cheese. So happy to have this place in Portland!

Seriously delicious fried chicken. It's pan fried and not deep fried which perhaps contributed to the lighter non greasy feel. Get the Mac and cheese and biscuits too! feels like southern home cooking and their staff is super nice. They also have a ton of specials that seem to change daily and vegetarian options for the non meat eaters!

Ordered the wing special (buffalo sauce with blue cheese) and it was wonderful. My wife ordered a biscuit sandwich, also wonderful.Not entirely sure how the chicken is cooked, but it tastes fabulous.Crispy, not overly greasy, and with a depth of flavor that other restaurant that use pre-made wings just can't match.Highly recommend checking this place out.

This place is really good. I recommend the Ay ay Ron chicken sandwich. Might be the best fried chicken in Portland. I recommend ordering early in the day as they have been known to run at full capacity.

I love Figgys, my partner LOVES their fried chicken and wings! Although I have a bone to pick. As a vegetarian it's hard to get a good sandwich, the Smokey was that sandwich. It was perfection, as the one vegetarian sandwich option I was never disappointed, and it's GONE! So I mourned and recently while the man was craving wings I gave the "new" vegetarian option a shot, it is a chicken fried paneer, sounds good but doesn't quite translate and was lacking flavor. So please Figgys bring back that giant vegetarian heaven sent dream on a biscuit the size of my face!
