If you are around Portland at night, it can be a bit uncomfortable if you're not use to the environment (I'm sure new folks will know what I mean).
My wife and I had a bit of time to wait for our Uber to Old Orchard Beach (Beautiful by the way!) so we swung into Fore Play. Good decision. We were able to relax, feel comfortable and talk with a great host! Thanks for hospitality Chase and hope many good things go your way.

Just got home from visiting Portland. We needed a spot for the Steelers/Ravens game & we luckily stumbled upon this bar. We met a few locals and chatted with the bartender. Super cool vibe. Football, food, drinks and new friends…. No complaints here… long story short we’re visiting again next month.
Stopped by on our way to dinner with our kids to have a quick drink and let the kids play all the fun games (air hockey, darts, buck hunter and pool). Chase, the bartender was awesome! He was friendly and personals!!! Highly recommended!

This is the place to be for Packer games in Portland. Another bar, Three Dollar Dewey’s, was listed as a place on a Packer’s bar website, but they didn’t even have the game on. We found our way to Fore Play and had an amazing time. We were immediately welcomed, found other local and Wisconsin fans and cheered on the green and gold to a win! All the bar staff were very welcoming and super friendly! Also, try the black tea shots!!! Great time all around! Thanks from Wisconsin!!

On vacation and stopped in to watch Packer game on Sunday & had a GREAT time!! Was welcomed by local Packer fans (Kate & Andrew), bartender (Tory?) was outstanding, management excellent…a wonderful atmosphere for all. Saw Eagles, Browns, Steelers & and other NFL fans (and non sports fans), all enjoying themselves. A huge shoutout to everyone for welcoming a stranger (old one too), and making him feel right at home.

It was my sister’s bachelorette over this past weekend and our group came up from Rhode Island. We went out in Portland and came to foreplay first. We were early and it was a little dead, but the bartender hooked us up with Jell-O shots on the house after ordering drinks. The locals in the bar were nice and the bouncer, Eric was super cool! We left for a little bit to go bar hopping and came back later when it was busy. They immediately let us back in and treated us so well. They made sure we were all taken care of and made sure our group was safe when a group of creepy guys were watching us at one point. We were the first people escorted upstairs when they opened it up when it started to get packed. They had a great DJ, the bartender and Eric took photos for us which was really appreciated, and we had soo much fun! We definitely recommend stopping by Foreplay for a great night out! Thank you guys for making our weekend one of the highlights of our trip! 10/10 stars! ⭐️
