Drove all the way from NH just to go here and we were super excited about it. No one was there and after careful inspection, we noticed a tiny little 3” piece of paper that says they are closed for basically the whole month of February for a break. There is literally not a thing on the website about being closed and to the contrary, it says they are open. Even the answering machine doesn’t say anything about being closed. There were other confused patrons (or would have been customers) in the parking lot trying to figure out what was going on. In 2024, you cant be bothered to put a notice up on your website? Even lazier, you didn’t put a noticeable /readable sized sign in the windows or on the side of building you could see from the road? Dumbest business management imaginable. I hope this place goes out of business immediately. Wasted three hours and several gallons of gas because of their carelessness. Go to hell.

I’m from Lynn, MA home of the roast beef sandwich. I like mine MURDERED. This place brings back memories of growing up in Lynn and Kelly’s Roast Beef at Revere Beach! Thanks for the memories but PLEASE BRING THE FOOD TRUCK BACK TO EAST END BEACH!

Every damn thing at both George and Leon's restaurant and George's North Shore food truck is incredible. The staff are helpful, efficient, and all around lovely people. The food? It's the stuff delicious, meaty dreams are made of. G&L's also has an excellent bar program! They've got a surprising amount of natural wines, a killer array of craft beers and ciders, and a creative bartending staff who mix awesome cocktails. If you're feeling bold, I highly recommend getting the Bartender's Choice beer and shot! It's like a grab bag, but for booze!

Very friendly staff. However... Save your time & $$$ because you will very quickly & sadly realize you've made a big mistake.Unfortunately, we found that out $42 too late.... yeah, for 1 Jr, 1 Reg Sammy, & rings. The "Jr" was inedible. The beef was raw, mushy, stringy and drenched ina bitter Carolina style bbq sauce. The bun had been compressed into2 cardboard slabs. The beef w/shrooms sandwich was actually OK, but exactly the same as you'd get elsewhere. The onion rings had something very weird added in breading, kinda likea cheese powder. Yuk! And the fry sauce was simply horrid. We didn't get anything to drink.I mentioned how bad I thought my Jr was to the guy at the bar and was met with a laugh. We laughed too... on out way outta there NEVER TO RETURN.

Best sandwich north of the Mass border. Pretty much the gold standard in beefs. I will go here anytime I am in Portland with a free moment. Thanks for all the tasty treats!

The service was great as was the food. They give you a good amount of beef, so it is well worth the price. I am sure I will return soon.

Best roast beef sandwich I ever ate in my entire life. And I've eaten a lot of roast beef in my day. Outstanding!

I was lucky enough to be able to try one of George's sandwiches as part of a recent yelp elite event and they were so good that I brought my husband back two days later so that he could try it as well. I cannot get over how delicious and rare and perfectly cooked the roast beef is and yes still soft enough that you can bite through the whole sandwich and you're not tearing at me And ending up with a mess all over your face. However with all of the saucy goodness this is a sandwich that requires many napkins and probably hand wash immediately after, I would recommend eating it right away versus trying to save this one for later. The first sandwich I got was their standard three-way, and the second time I went I added the horseradish. Both were delicious and I think what sends these over the top is the onion bun. So so good

So let me start this off by saying, I am not typically a fan of roast beef. I find its texture unappealing, and the rareness of it has always made me a little.... meh on it. But, never one to shy away from trying new food, I threw my hat in the ring, and ended up here on a sunny Saturday morning. And oh my sweet baby Jesus am I glad I did. The sandwich, a super with pickles and horseradish (murdered of course, how could I not?) was divine. The child in me loved the messiness of it, the adult in me loved the complexity of it. And the roast beef hater in me sat the f**k down in the back, and began to question the foundation of his existence. This was one the BEST SANDWICHES I have EVER had. The roll, heavily buttered and crisped to perfection truly helped make this sandwich perfect. They could have given me just the roll and I would have reviewed 5*. But the beef was tender, juicy, and delicious, and paired with the sauce, extra of course, I couldn't wait for the next bite each time I swallowed. The pickles and the horseradish simply added to the sandwich, but I am 100% sure it would have been equally magical without them. I sat there on my picnic table bench and wondered if I truly didn't like roast beef, or if I had just never had good roast beef. And this place, is amazing roast beef. For a roast beef sandwich to blow my mind, you know it HAS to be good (Perfect more like). I also tried the fries, and they are both 35 year old man, and 4 year old girl approved! The prices are amazing for what you receive. And the portions are huge. The people working in the truck truly seem passionate about what they are doing, and they are so kind. We will definitely be back. I can't wait honestly!(Also, sorry to the owner! I promised to write this last night after apple picking, but I totally got distracted decorating for halloween!)

This place is f****** legit!!!!. As a north shore person from Mass where beef 3-ways originated, they hit the nail on the head! One of the best beef 3-ways I have ever had.

Phenomenal, legit roast beef sandwiches. Kelly's doesn't hold a candle to George's!!!

My person hails from MA where they take their beef VERY seriously! I'm pretty sure I watched him eat a quarter of a cow. The sandwich is huge! As a strictly vegetarian I was almost jealous...almost... I opted for the fries with all the things but the actual beef. Probably a heart attack waiting to happen but SO worth it. If you haven't stopped by Georges truck you don't know what you're missing! Just make sure you grab some extra napkins!
