We ordered oysters, the baked seafood, and lobster stew. I’ve always enjoyed their food; but the evening was ruined because of our server. She was rude, wanted us to hurry and order and get out. She kept saying they had reservations coming in (and there were several empty tables) She served us drinks, but the third round, she ignored my request and brought us the check instead. Ok, so we moved to the bar and the bartender refused to serve me! First of all, I wasn’t drunk. Second of all, I wasn’t driving. They basically kicked the 4 of us out. I’ll not be going back. Too bad too, because it used to be a fave of ours.
Great food, fair prices, had a hole in the wall kinda feel with how small it is which adds to the atmosphere. Will return!

From the hostess to the bartender to the people dining in this establishment it was a shame to see how rude and racist they were, I never take the time for a review but based on the horrible experience I had, I needed to make it known that this is not a place for intellectual, bilingual and cultural diversity. They were beyond rude to my sister who has a walking disability and kicked her out of a seat, the hostess managed the situation so poorly my sister ended up leaving. Even upon leaving the establishment, a random costumer said “really?” As my friends and I walked past a very narrow walkway to be able to get out of this nightmare restaurant. The ignorance was astonishing. As my first experience in Maine it was absolutely horrendous and I will never come back.

Clams were sandy, even after washing them. But lobsters were great! Drinks were also great
Tour guide suggested J's Oyster as well as a few other places for seafood. We opted for J's Oyster and enjoyed a delicious lunch. My lobster roll was loaded with sweet lobster meat. I asked for melted butter, no problem. My husband had a plate of mussels. Served with bread, the broth was out of this world! The mussels from just around the bend, in a cove close by. The restaurant is small, a large oval bar with small tables surrounding it. It was very busy at 1:30ish on a Thursday. Several parties were waiting when we arrived and several more came after. Service was prompt and friendly.

Great place! Got 2 dozen oysters, mixed seafood pasta and shrimp pasta. About $200+. Visit my Alaskan lodge and rent a cabin at Gwin’s Lodge Cooper Landing Alaska. Pre-Statehood and restaurant and bar. Kenai Peninsula just south of Anchorage 2 hrs.

We wanted authentic seafood, and this place has it. Very busy on a Saturday night, but we were seated at the bar fairly quickly. We had walked from our hotel, but it looks like there is adequate (paid) parking nearby. Great server at the bar, very friendly and competent. Also a very engaging young woman at the raw bar, shucking oysters. We started with oysters, which were local, fresh and delicious. Followed by a small bucket of soft-shell clams (steamers), also very good. Finished with a lobster roll each, which had a really good grilled roll and lots of delicious lobster. Just the kind of waterfront bar/pub that we like. Informal, and really good food.

Great little place right on the waterfront. Looks like a no fuss gem only locals would know about , and I’m so glad we went. We had some of the freshest largest shrimp ceviche I’ve ever had, plus tender plump crab cakes, and oysters. Our server was terrific. I’ll be back again and again!
