Not a big fan of the sushi, but since this place is basically right around the corner from my current living situation and the place is very popular with the locals, I’m gonna give it a try one of the days soon. I will do a FULL review at that time.

I hate to rate this so low because I used to love King of the Roll. Truly abysmal service. There was one waitress for the whole restaurant and she was incredibly rude to us. Took 1+ hours for our food to come out - my partner and I ordered just ramen and one roll. And the place was not busy. The ramen tastes like something I could make in 15 minutes at home. Then after an hour and a half overall we had to go to an event and asked for the check and boxes. At this point we finally got our sushi. She cancelled our ice cream without asking. Also got orders out for other tables before ours.I totally understand the place was understaffed for servers but that's not the big issue. There were 5 cooks in the back and 2 sushi chefs. There were maybe 5 tables seated. Despite being as nice as possible to the waitress (knowing she was the only one) she was sooo rude to us!TLDR: sushi was good, ramen was completely bad, and the food took far too long. Service was horrible and I sadly won't come back :(

They're never freakin open! Their sushi and other food are excellent, but it's so hard to actually find them open.

I have been coming to this establishment for two decades. The quality and service have always been incredible, I love this establishment more than any other sushi place I've ever been to! This is a Portland sushi scene MUST stop.

Fantastic place to get sushi. Prices are reasonable, the fish is fresh, and the atmosphere is top notch. Whenever I go out for sushi with my friends this is the place we go. I've never had a bad experience. My biggest complaint is that I can never decide which roll is my favorite!

Delicious Asian cuisine. My husband and I had sushi, pork buns, bento box all super yummy! I absolutely loved my pork buns so flavorful!! The decor could be slightly updated. Good customer service, prices were reasonable, beers are great. We will definitely return!

Good sushi, for very reasonable prices. The salmon was really good quality/flavor. Very fresh. The service was slow, and the place was un kept.Would I go here again? Probably not unless I lived on the street and it was super convenient or something like that.Their steamed buns were good. They come taco style with ginger, veggies, and either salmon for $9.95 or pork belly for $8.95. Expect to pay $10-$15 a roll. They have good specials, and make sure to take a picture of the special board when you walk in. The waitress was a little hard to understand, and I am usually really good with accents.Mochi is $6 and comes with two pieces cut in half with whipped cream on top.I wouldn't order it again.Edemame is $6. The menu pictures they have online are outdated, and prices have more than doubled. The bathroom was really bad.Kid only getting one star because they have booths, besides that, they have no changing table, no children's menu, no appropriate boosters. Not kid friendly.Accessibility ♿️: 1/5 not good wheelchair appropriate entrance or bathrooms. However, the booths and tables are a good height. The walkways are not large enough. The take-out area is in the back, and the counter is standing height.Dietary restrictions: They have many vegetarian and vegan options. More than I am used to seeing. 4 of the specials were even vegetable- only rolls.

This is an absolute gem for sushi enthusiasts. Nestled in a quite corner, this restaurant offers an authentic Japanese dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. They guide you through the menu with expertise, ensuring that even newcomers to sushi are well taken care of. The service is prompt and efficient, allowing you to savor every moment. While the prices reflect the quality, this restaurant is worth every penny. The attention to detail, exceptional culinary expertise, and warm hospitality make it a standout in the world of sushi.Overall, this is a haven indeed for any sushi lover. It's a place where tradition meets innovation, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Don't miss the opportunity to embark on a culinary journey here. For sure that I'll definitely come back.

When I got a notification that my order was ready an hr ahead of schedule, I called to ask that they correct this and they said they had no notice/couldn't re sell our food. After some back and fourth, it sounded like all was resolved and they would AT LEAST refrigerate the rolls. When I went to pick up, not only was the lady giving me a terrible attitude, THE SUSHI WAS HOT and unsafe to eat as it appeared it had been sitting out the entire time. The takeout container had condensation. This is absolutely unacceptable with raw fish of all things.

Pretty shocked at how poor the food was prepared and put together. Burnt dumplings, fish wasn’t fresh and sloppily rolled. I live up the street so figured I’d finally give them a whirl and will say some of the poorest restaurant / food take out I’ve seen to date. Save your money or go elsewhere.

Really good food. You have to try the dragon roll! They have good choice of Sake which is japanese rice wine, and fresh fish. I go here almost every other week
