The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated. My dirty martini with the feta cheese olive (singular) was good.
Where do I even start with the food ….not only is it very unauthentic but lacks basic flavor. The “horiatiki” is suppose to be a salad we were served LITERALLY one piece of onion one edge of a tomato and 2 olives with our dips. It’s like they served us what was left over at the bottom of someone’s bowl. The pitas were empty even with the unnecessary edition of lettuce. Spent $100 dollars and left hungry and unsatisfied.

The food was fine, but I was expecting more. $21 for 5 sides in the mezze as you can see in the picture could have been more generous. The Greek salad had barely dressing, I would have expected to be generously seasoned with delicious Greek olive oil, and the romaine lettuce and tomatoes were bland specially costing over $20. I hope that the owners step it up with the quality and serving size as the food has potential. We ordered takeout, maybe it's better experience in person. I would not order again takeout.

Cute spot. The gyros are very light on meat. They are mostly lettuce and sauce. I'd go back but order something different

Beautiful restaurant, decor was spot on, and staff was attentive. We felt right at home is this adorable Greek restaurant. We happily shared and enjoyed the warm olives, halloumi, spanakopita, Paros chicken, Gigantes, and Horta. Prices are also reasonable comparatively. Plenty of off street parking in the area, although you may need to walk a few blocks.

Tzatziki had only the flavor of dried herbs. Horiatiki looked like kefalotiri just way too much cheese in it. Lamb was good briami could use some tomato paste and more oregano. Kalamari could have been cooked a bit more. The prices were cheap but that might because lack of use of good olive oil.

We are from out of state and landed here based on our air bnb’s recommendation. We had been hiking and driving all day so not looking our best and being over tired, we were still welcomed with open arms and warm hearts. I had the BEST chicken gyro! The olives were a surprisingly nice touch. The freedom to eat it as messy as I wanted to, was nice. The asparagus was well cooked and garnished beautifully. The chicken Paros was a huge portion and enough for two if you wanted a plate to share. The wine was reasonably priced and paired well with the whole meal. Aside from the food, the server was attentive and seems to genuinely enjoy her job. Brandy, I believe. The owner came out to give us tips on our travels in the area and even some helpful Greek cooking tips! All in all, a lovely experience! Nancy, round of applause!! Your restaurant and team are amazing!

I had a late lunch at the bar and got their Kumquat Sour cocktail and the souvlaki-style gyro with lamb. Everything was delicious. I'll go back for dinner and try their lamb chop and Greek salad and probably a few more cocktails. Nice atmosphere and service and reasonable prices for the quality of food.

Best Greek food. I've been dying to find a good Greek restaurant since I moved up to Portland about two years ago. I dream about the gyros ?

Have enjoyed 3 meals at Magissa . Each time wonderful and delicious and great service . The mezze plates are great once we tried 3 items and the other visit we went all in can’t go wrong with any of the choices . We loved the chicken and lamb gyros . The salads are wonderful . The lamb dinner and chicken were fantastic as well as the eggplant . We have enjoyed every item on the menu so fresh and the tastes are amazing . Love the drink menu . The desserts are also fabulous . I would be happy to eat here once a week so fresh and the service is perfect .

Really wonderful food and drinks here. I love the kumquat sour, and the tofu gyro is a fantastic vegetarian option.

First of all, the service here was excellent. Our server was attentive, prompt, and friendly. The food was also good but not something you couldn’t find at a Greek chain restaurant for a much lower price and bigger portions. In fact, that’s my biggest complaint: the price and the portion. I spent $18 on a lamb gyro which was tasty but left me feeling hungry. I do understand that restaurants operate on thin margins, but I felt like it wasn’t really worth it after finishing my meal.
