Recently checked out Maine Oyster Company at the recommendation of another friend in Portland for their happy hour. Honestly can't beat $2 oysters, $2 high lifes, and a $5 hot dog. Nice, small, intimate atmosphere. Dolly Parton and Fleetwood Mac were playing, but it was still easy to chat. We love Maine Oyster Company! We took the Oyster Shucking class and it was perfect. It came with a dozen oysters each, and were taught the proper (and safe) way to shuck oysters. It was at the bar and was very fun and chill. By the end of the class we were shucking and slurping oysters with ease. Tasting the differences between the oyster varieties was also super cool.
