Delicious sushi and pork buns. Be prepared to spend some money if you’re really hungry.

Well balanced, clean, fresh flavors. The lunch bento box is quite a deal, too

We celebrated our anniversary here and would absolutely return again. The Hamayaki was definitely the highlight

Hands down favorite restaurant in Portland after multiple visits here. Everything is delicious! You truly can’t go wrong with whatever you order. All of the fish is so fresh and we also enjoyed the marinated eggplant and duck breast dishes (not pictured) which were both incredible. The vibe and the servers are also delightful :) love this spot and we will always stop here whenever we’re in town.

Always excellent. Courses are spread out. Staff checks in frequently, but never to intrude. Food quality is perfect. Drinks are balanced and delicious.

This place gave me the most debilitating painful food poisoning I have ever experienced in my life. I have been in excruciating pain for 17 hours with zero sleep. Also the sushi was pretty mid, I’ll never come back.

I ordered the omakase sushi, and I’m grateful to be able to enjoy sushi of this level in the U.S. The downside is that the portions were on the smaller side, and the shrimp tempura was terrible. It seemed like they had no understanding of authentic Japanese tempura, which was surprising for such a high-end Japanese restaurant.

I ordered sauteed scallops, duck buns, wagyu nabe and daily specials $16 for a small cup of miso soup with basically dried mushrooms, boiling water and salt. Scallops overcooked to the point where it doesn't taste like scallop anymore. Wagyu nabe very funky taste like it was left out and microwave it multiple times. Spent $129 and still had to go dine somewhere else..

This was our first time and unfortunately our last time. The host/server and location were wonderful. The drinks were great. But the food was not what we expected.
The lobster nigiri was raw though it was stated to be cooked. And the special smelled very fishy. Our shrimp tempura starters were not crispy/undercooked.
I hope this was just an off night, but it seems the kitchen is trying very hard to be unique and missing the mark.
