My wife and I were fortunate to be able to take a tour with just us and Ned, one of the owner/distillers, in the afternoon. As an amateur brewer who is very interested in distillation, he gave us an incredibly detailed tour with cool historical notes. He also answered all my questions with thorough details. The tasting directly after the tour was lovely as well. They have some unique batches that are well worth the trip. I cannot recommend a stop here enough.
My partner did a tour and tasting here, and it was such a great time! Ned was as accommodating, informative, and friendly as could possibly be.
I have been welcomed by Ned, the owner of the place.
It was a pleasure to meet him and to do with him a tour of the distillery and a tasting of all the bottles produced there.
The taste was great, I highly recommend to visit this place and get them as many bottles as you can !
Small but friendly place. We stopped by while on a road trip passing through Maine and were not disappointed, picked up a couple of bottles. Highly recommended
Staying in Old Port in Portland, we went out of our way to visit on the recommendations of other blogs and reviews. Did not disappoint. A small craft operation run by the most friendly and accommodating partnership. Tour was great and all spirits were good. They have a great symbiotic relationship with Allagash brewery that is a great story. We went home with the Gin. 4-5 other beer breweries with food in walking distance. Worth the trip.
This small distillery was an amazing find. The owner took the time to give the 4 of us a private tour. We have been on many distillery tours, but we learned so much more here. And the Rye and the Gin are amazing. Went home with a bottle each. Highly recommended!
fun and informative tour with a great sampling at the end !
Super cool distillery making some excellent whiskey! The gunpowder rye they make was my favorite.
I believe it was Tim that did our tasting. He was super helpful in showing the different whiskies and how they're made.
I stopped the other day and had a fantastic time. Got to taste many great spirits and learn lots about them. I also met one of the owners too. Very friendly guy.
We stopped in here while making the rounds of the breweries in the area, and I highly recommend it! One of the owners, Tim, was wonderful and gave us a tasting and tour of the facility. Their liquors were great, and they have some fun, distinctive distilled beer spirits that were really tasty in addition to their rum, gin, whiskey, and rye.

I have a new favorite bourbon. New England Distillery makes an incredible, smooth and balanced bourbon with Tidewalker. And I had a chance to meet Ned, the owner and master distiller. Awesome guy. You gotta check them out!
Thank you for the tour and tasting! We very much appreciate the time and dedication to your craft.Everything was tasty, I recommend the Rye.
We had a tour from the owner Tim Fisher, and it was informative, friendly, and highly recommended. He explained all parts of the distilling process, talked about how they do their distilling differently from others, how the unique still equipment they have (copper) and method of heating (natural gas) affected flavors. He walked through the different steps in distilling rum , bourbon, and more and the tasting part was great as well. It’s an intimate tour, with a focus you won’t find most places, and you can tell he knows what he’s doing and can answer a variety of questions.
Disappointed! Was expecting a tasting room with cocktails to purchase. Not that at all. You walk into a small office area a try sips of spirits. Can purchase bottles but it's not what we were looking for. However what we did try we liked!
Amazing story and amazing product. If you're up for real spirits done with vision, tradition and care - this is the place. And if possible do ask for the story behind all this ?
